  • Publication number: 20240033890
Abstract: A crimping accessory and/or a pinching accessory for a power-driven tool is provided. The crimping accessory and/or the pinching accessory can include first and second jaws that are rotatably coupled relative to a guide assembly and an actuating mechanism coupled in the guide assembly. The actuating mechanism includes a trunnion mounted on a rod. First and second cam followers exert a force on first cam surfaces of the first and second jaws as the trunnion moves in a first longitudinal direction, to bring the jaws together in a crimping and/or pinching area of the accessory and exert a crimping and/or pinching force on a workpiece. Movement of a pair of first pins and a pair of second pins along second cam surfaces of the first and second jaws guides an opening movement of the first and second jaws to release the force exerted on the workpiece.

  • Publication number: 20230415311
Abstract: A nut runner accessory for a power-driven tool is provided. The nut runner accessory can include a gear assembly received in a housing. The gear assembly transfers an externally generated force to a driver head of the nut runner accessory. The nut runner accessory can include an alignment device that can be automatically or manually operated to align an open ended slot of the gear assembly and driver head with an open ended slot of the housing. The alignment of respective open end portions of the open ended slots defined by the gear assembly, driver head, and housing allows a nut/threaded rod to be inserted into and removed from an engagement portion of the nut runner accessory.

  • Publication number: 20230128823
Abstract: A nut runner accessory for a power-driven tool is provided. The nut runner accessory can include a gear assembly received in a housing. The gear assembly transfers an externally generated force to a driver head of the nut runner accessory. The driver head can include a plurality of stepped pockets that can receive and engage different sizes and/or configurations of nuts to be threaded onto/off of a threaded rod. The driver head can be counterweighted, to counteract imbalance generated due to an offset between a center of mass of the driver head and a center of rotation of the driver head.

  • Publication number: 20220143858
Abstract: A power tool accessory includes a housing having a rear end portion and front end portion; an input shaft at least partially received in the rear end portion, extending along an axis, and configured to be coupled to a tool holder of a rotary power tool; a threaded shaft received in the housing and rotationally driven by the input shaft; a blade holder configured to move along the axis upon rotation of the threaded shaft; and a cutting blade configured to be retained by the blade holder. A workpiece holder is coupled to the front end portion of the housing and is configured to hold an elongated member. Upon rotation of the input shaft, the threaded shaft rotates, causing the blade holder to move axially toward the front end portion of the housing, causing the blade to move at least partially into the workpiece holder to cut the elongated workpiece.

  • Publication number: 20220134526
Abstract: A power tool accessory for cutting tubular members includes a housing, an input shaft configured to be coupled to a rotary power tool, a transmission, and a cutting head removably received in a front end of the housing. The transmission includes an input gear and an output gear with a first plurality of teeth. The cutting head has a central opening, a cutting blade protruding into the central opening, and a second plurality of teeth engaged by the first plurality of teeth. A clamp assembly coupled to the housing is moveable between a first position where the cutting head is removable from the housing and a second position where the cutting head is retained in the housing. The cutting head receives a tubular member in the central opening with the cutting blade engaging the tubular member to cut the tubular member as the cutting head rotates about the tubular member.
