  • Publication number: 20200066191
Abstract: Disclosed is a weather-resistant and crush-resistant display panel for placement on or in the surface of roadways, driveways, walkways, patios, or other locations and substrates. The panel is sealed within a polycarbonate enclosure with installed electro (electric/electronic) components that are protected by the set-up polycarbonate which cooperates with the enclosure and its installed components to become structurally reinforced. Light generated within or directed through the polycarbonate carries images/logos for displays, from these difficult roadways, driveways or walkways installation environments, for convenient and effective viewing by the public.

  • Patent number: 10253468
Abstract: A traffic control system and method in which a sensor and processor interact with at least one road module to illuminate and/or cause to flash in response to predetermined road surface and/or traffic conditions. The system and method can be configured to interact with vehicles, including autonomous vehicles, traveling on the road in which the road module(s) are embedded. The road surface and/or traffic conditions include an EMS vehicle located in proximity to a fire hydrant, vehicle located in proximity to a bus stop, a vehicle located in proximity to an intersection with a bicycle and/or pedestrian path intersecting with said road in which said road modules and/or one or more light strips are embedded.

  • Publication number: 20190088121
Abstract: A traffic management system and method in which detects the speed of a vehicle approaching an intersection or curve in the roadway and alerts the vehicle via road modules and/or one or more light strips embedded in and/or affixed to the surface of the road to illuminate and/or flash to notify the vehicle that is travelling at excessive speed that can be configured to operate in conjunction with roadway signage. The system can be configured to notify a computer onboard the vehicle traveling at an excessive speed that the vehicle is traveling at an excessive speed. The computer can be located on board an autonomous vehicle.
