  • Patent number: 5204231
Abstract: A film containing a filter layer comprised of a combination of a green dye and a yellow dye, which prevents the blue wavelength of white safelight from exposing the film. The filter layer permits handling of the film under white safelight for longer periods of time.

  • Patent number: 5011462
Abstract: The belt connector of the present invention comprises an elongated shank having two J-hooks at its opposite ends. Each J-hook is performed to make an elongated slot which is approximately one half the width of the diameter of the loop member which forms the loops at the ends of the connectible belt. When the loops are forced into the slots of the J-hooks of the connector, they are compressed to form an oval shape which resists movement or turning within the slot.

  • Patent number: 4929222
Abstract: The connectable drive belt of the present invention includes an elongated circular cord formed from an elastomeric material. The ends of the cord are flattened and formed into a portion having a rectangular cross-section. A hole is formed in the end of each flattened portion. Then a metal clip having two hooks lying in planes perpendicular to one another is used to connect the opposite ends of the belt together. Once connected, the flattened ends of the belt are twisted 90 degrees relative to one another and are held in this position by the clip.

  • Patent number: 4798492
Abstract: The coupling of the present invention is used for joining two shafts together. The coupling comprises a first hub and a second hub which are joined together by a central web located therebetween. Both the first and second hubs include an inner bore extending therethrough and an outer tapered surface. The bores of the first and second hubs are sized to receive the two shafts which are to be connected. A pair of nuts, each having a threaded tapered bore extending therethrough are threaded over the outer tapered surfaces of the two hubs until the nuts exert an inner radial force on the hubs, thereby causing the hubs to frictionally grip and hold the shafts against movement relative to the coupling body. The coupling body may be longitudinally divided into two separate halves which embrace the opposite sides of the shafts and which are held together by the nuts which surround the tapered hub portions thereof.

  • Patent number: 4075922
Abstract: A multiple bladed clapper-noisemaker is provided with a stiff central blade and adjacent thinner blades of flexible sheet material whose lower ends are held in closely juxtaposed stacked relationship by the user and whose upper ends are free to flex and bend as the user imparts flapping movement to the device. The flexible outer blades rhythmically swing away from the stiff central "drum" blade and swing back to strike it briskly with a sharp impact. The multiple impacts of the plurality of flexible blades are employed by the user to create a wide variety of different sounds, ranging from soft brushing or rattling sounds to louder multiple clapping sounds of all varieties. When the handle portions are secured together by a single grommet fastener, the multiple blades may be fanned out angularly to form an air displacing fan or an attractive decoration for horizontal or suspended display.

  • Patent number: 3988941
Abstract: A double sided V-belt includes back-to-back V-belt shaped portions with each V-belt portion having recesses extending across the width of the belt and equally spaced along the length of the belt in staggered relationship to each other to form a smooth uniform undulating drive belt having a generally constant vertical cross sectional height.

  • Patent number: 3988906
Abstract: A drive coupling having a flexible web joining a pair of hubs and including at least one undulation. The undulation has an axis extending substantially at a right angle to the longitudinal axis of the coupling with all sections of the web cut by transverse planes normal to the longitudinal axis of the coupling being substantially parallel.

  • Patent number: 3967870
Abstract: A molded plastic drawer for use in cabinets having spaced, parallel guide rails comprises a normally horizontally disposed bottom wall and front, side and back walls extending upwardly from the bottom wall. The bottom wall is provided with guide members which engage the lower guide rails of the cabinet to guide the drawer during movement between opened and closed conditions. The side and back walls of the cabinet extend to horizontal lips and may be provided with ribs which reinforce the walls and the lips. The horizontal lip of the back wall is positioned above the lips of the side wall and extends across the full width of the drawer to define an elongate shoulder positioned for engagement with structure of the cabinet when the drawer is in the opened condition to prevent the drawer from falling out of the cabinet.

  • Patent number: T978006
Abstract: a latching device includes a pair of spring projected latch bolts located within a housing and movable outwardly of one end wall thereof for engagement with detents of a pair of doors to be latched in a closed position. A rod extending at one end thereof outwardly of an opposite wall of the housing has a handle at such one end and a transverse bar at an opposite end which engages a pair of lugs provided on the bolts, so that the doors may be unlatched as the handle is pulled from inside the housing so as to move the bar toward the opposite end wall of the housing thereby effecting bolt retraction. A notch is provided on the rod for engagement with a portion of the opposite end wall of the housing for maintaining the bolts in an unlatched position, and bolt guides are provided in the housing in the form of passageways of rectangular cross-section for preventing the bolts, having flat outer surfaces lying parallel to the walls of the passageways, from rotating about their central axes.
