  • Patent number: 10782860
Abstract: Systems and methods for dynamic scaling in graphical user interfaces are described herein. According to some embodiments, an example method includes receiving input data to be graphically displayed on a graphical user interface, generating an interface that includes a control icon that can be translated within a grid so as to define an easing curve and to select at least two easing function parameters for a parameterizable easing function, and generating, in real-time as the least two easing function parameters are received, the graphical user interface which includes output representations of the input data which have one or more styling parameters that are selected based on the parameterizable easing function such that monotonicity is maintained between the input data and the output representations.

  • Publication number: 20130341884
Abstract: An adult scale three-wheeled device facilitates movement for mobility challenged persons. The device is foot propelled while seated either through walking while seated or pedaling. The device is provided with a limited footprint for navigating confined areas while the individual is seated in a substantially standing position, with the pedals being repositionable so as to allow unobstructed walking while remaining seated. A lockable braking system prevents one or more wheels from turning. The device is collapsible for storage.

  • Patent number: 5019266
Abstract: Aerobic purification of waste water with intermittent batchwise supply of waste water to the activated sludge tank from which the treated waste water drains continuously is disclosed, in which the nitrate content in the waste water is simultaneously reduced by throttling the aeration of the activated sludge tank, starting with the admission of the waste water to the tank, to values equivalent to less than or equal to 0.5 mg/l dissolved oxygen. In particular, aeration may be off until such time as the nitrate content in the tank has dropped below 5 mg/l, in particular below 1 mg/l. In the case of urban waste waters a cycle time of about 1 hour is expediently employed under these circumstances and the aeration is shut off for about 5 minutes, starting from the rapid admission of the waste water charge. Preferably, inlet charges are less than or equal to 30%, in particular between about 5% and 20%, of the tank capacity.

  • Patent number: 4653775
Abstract: An image-receiving element adapted to the provision of a diffusion transfer photograph and having a preprinted security pattern between contiguous layers thereof is disclosed. The pattern comprises a patterning agent and a binder therefor preferentially adhesive to the contiguous layer closest in proximity to the image-receiving layer of such element. Diffusion transfer photographs prepared from the image-receiving element carrying the preprinted security pattern are useful in the production of an information-bearing document such as an ID card.
