  • Patent number: 11548367
Abstract: A hybrid drive unit (HY, G) for a motor vehicle includes a housing (GG), in which a torque converter (TC) and an electric machine (EM) are accommodated. The electric machine (EM) and the torque converter (TC) are arranged directly next to each other such that the electric machine (EM) is arranged at a first face end (TC1) of the torque converter housing (TCG). An oil guide shell (LS) at least partially encompasses a section of the torque converter (TC). The oil guide shell (LS) has an L-shaped cross-section including a first section (LS1) and a second section (LS2) and is arranged in such that the first section (LS1) partially encompasses a second face end (TC2) of the torque converter housing (TCG) and the second section (LS2) partially encompasses a circumferential surface of the torque converter housing (TCG).

  • Patent number: 8424633
Abstract: A continuously variable transmission device (1) for a vehicle with a variator (3), a planetary gear unit (4) and a manual gear unit (9) arranged in a transmission housing. The variator (3) is connected with the planetary gear unit (4) and with the manual gear unit (9) in the area of a first shaft (14) and in the area of a second shaft (15). The variator (3) and the planetary gear unit (4) form a module (2) and are arranged on a common carrier plate (19).

  • Patent number: 8414439
Abstract: A transmission device (1) for a vehicle having a variator (3) that has an axially longer length that the variator (3) is wider and deeper. The variator (3) comprises a planetary gear set (4), a manual gearbox unit (9) and a hydraulic system having an oil sump. Following installation in the vehicle, a longitudinal extension of the variator (3) is oriented at least approximately horizontally.

  • Patent number: 8393988
Abstract: A transmission device for a vehicle (1) having a variator (3), which is configured as a hydrostatic device, of a transverse axial construction that can be adjusted at least in the region of a pivot axis (11), a planetary gear set (4) and a manual gear unit (9). The orientation of the pivot axis (11) of the variator (3), following installation in the vehicle, at least approximately corresponds to the orientation of a vehicle vertical axis (16).

  • Patent number: 8307936
Abstract: A transmission device (1) for a vehicle with a variator (3), a planetary gear unit (4) and a gearshift transmission unit (9). The variator (3) has a length which is greater than a width and a depth of the variator (3). When the variator (3) is installed in position in the vehicle, the length of the variator (3) is orientated at least approximately diagonally to the length of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 8287414
Abstract: A continuously variable transmission device comprising a variator and a secondary power splitting. For power splitting, a planetary gear set has a first shaft coupled to the transmission input, a second shaft of the gear set coupled a first shaft of the variator, and a third shaft of the gear set couples a second shaft of the variator. First and second shift elements are provided to switch between first and second gear ratio ranges. Via the variator, the gear ratio is continuously variable within the gear ratio range and the two gear ratio ranges overlap. To implement the first gear ratio range, the second shaft of the gear set is connected, via the first shift element, to the transmission output, and to implement the second gear ratio range, the third shaft of the planetary gear set is connected, via the second shift element, to the transmission output.
