  • Publication number: 20260070054
Abstract: A card having a plurality of tabs comprising absorbent or binding material that can be spotted with nucleic acid solutions for storage and/or distribution to an end user, such as a customer purchasing the nucleic acids. An aqueous solution of nucleic acid molecules is spotted onto the absorbent or binding material, which is adhered to the tips of the tabs. Individual tabs may be cut or snapped off the card for recovery of the nucleic acid molecules. The card provides a convenient means of storage of small aliquots of the nucleic acid solution for weeks, months or years. Methods of assembling the cards and for spotting, storing and eluting the nucleic acid molecules are provided.

  • Publication number: 20240060675
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed for reducing leakage current in compressors, such as for HVAC systems. Several embodiments include a leakage current suppressor configured to reduce passage of electrical current into the housing of a compressor via a conductive pathway between an electrical conductor and the housing. For instance, the leakage current suppressor may sufficiently reduce the passage of electrical current into the housing of a compressor to prevent tripping a GFCI. In many embodiments, the conductive pathway may be formed, at least in part, by a liquid refrigerant in the compressor housing.

  • Patent number: 11781798
Abstract: Embodiments of vibration damping clips for use within a climate control system are disclosed. In an embodiment, a vibration damping clip is engaged with three fluid lines of an outdoor unit of the climate control system, such as, for instance, a suction line of a compressor of the climate control system, a discharge line of the compressor, and a fluid line coupled to a pressure equalization valve (PEV) within the outdoor unit.

  • Publication number: 20230191127
Abstract: This disclosure relates to transcranial stimulation. In one arrangement, a method for obtaining personalized parameters for transcranial stimulation is provided. Baseline data about a test subject are received, the baseline data comprising information about the test subject acquired prior to transcranial stimulation applied to the test subject. A Gaussian process model of performance of one or more training subjects is used to obtain personalized parameters for transcranial stimulation for the test subject based on the received baseline data. The Gaussian process jointly models subject performance during and/or after transcranial stimulation as a function of both i) parameters defining the transcranial stimulation; and ii) baseline data for the one or more training subjects.

  • Patent number: 11212561
Abstract: Apparatus and method for improving the bandwidth efficiency of delivering electronic program guide (EPG) data to consumer premises equipment (CPE). In one exemplary embodiment, electronic guide data is rendered by devices away from the CPE, shifting the executing data- and bandwidth-heavy operations away from the CPE. In particular, one or more gateways at the user's home bears the processing, memory, bandwidth load to reduce the inefficiency of delivering redundant information to CPE(s) interfacing with the gateway(s). Using guide data it receives from the cloud, the gateway produces and delivers to the CPE one or more “simple views” of the guide data, including a video stream, still image, or simple HTML or other renderable formats. As the end user interacts with the CPE, the user receives a series of the simple views, allowing the rich experience that is typically given by EPG rendered directly by the CPE.

  • Patent number: 10330099
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining the health of a compressor are disclosed. In one embodiment, a prognostic-diagnostic unit (PDU) compares expected compressor power consumption, based on current operating conditions of the HVAC system, to actual compressor power consumption. If the actual power consumption is within a predefined range of the expected power consumption under current operational conditions, the HVAC system is determined to be operating properly. If the actual power consumption deviates from the expected power consumption, a fault is indicated. An appropriate action is taken, such as displaying a fault alert, transmitting a fault message to another device, and storing information relating to the fault for later retrieval to assist troubleshooting.

  • Patent number: 9835677
Abstract: A system and method for determining the linearity of a device-under-test combine a first periodic signal and a second periodic signal to produce a combined signal, wherein the second periodic signal has at least one of a phase difference and a frequency difference with respect to the first periodic signal, and applying the combined signal to an input of the device-under-test. The linearity of the device-under-test is determined from an output signal of the device-under-test based on the at least one of the phase difference and frequency difference between the first periodic signal and the second periodic signal.
