  • Patent number: 11790071
Abstract: An embedded trace capacitive signet is described. The embedded trace capacitive signet provides for authentication and validation through interaction with a touch screen of a computing device such as a smart phone. The embedded trace capacitive signet has a substrate such as a card, a plurality of conductive circle points affixed to the substrate, a user conductive area that allows a user to provide capacitance to the conductive circle points, and thin traces connecting each circle point to the user conductive area. Placing the circle points in different locations produces unique cards that can be detected by a touch screen of a computing device to initiate a software based application.

  • Patent number: 11445814
Abstract: A shearing device (1) having a blade (2) with at least one blade cutting edge (5) which is helically coiled, and rotatable, about an axis of rotation (R) of the blade (2). The blade cutting edge (5) is assigned a counterpart blade cutting edge (4) of a counterpart blade (3). The shearing movements, by which for example bristle filaments (7) of brushes (8) for machining can be cut to length, are generated by relative rotational movement of the at least one helically coiled blade cutting edge (5) with respect to the preferably static counterpart blade cutting edge (4) of the counterpart blade (3). Since the blade (2) and the counterpart blade (3) can keep their spacing to one another constant during operation, there is a relatively low risk of injury during the use thereof.

  • Publication number: 20210365751
Abstract: A punched card capacitive touch stamp is disclosed along with systems and methods for authentication using the punched card capacitive touch stamp. The punched card capacitive touch stamp provides for authentication and validation through interaction with a capacitive touch sensor of a computing device such as a smart phone. The punched card capacitive touch stamp has a substrate such as a card, and a plurality of punched holes through this substrate with either clearance for a user's fingers to directly contact the capacitive touch sensor or containing electrically conductive inserts allowing users to indirectly make electrical contact with the capacitive touch sensor. Contact with the capacitive touch sensor in a unique spatial pattern is transferred simultaneously, or in a sequential combination, and is captured by the electronic device and transmitted to an external server to be decoded and authenticated.

  • Patent number: 10601825
Abstract: A method for authorizing an electronic device to perform an action includes detecting interaction data from an interaction between a hardware sensor and an identity-augmented tangible object; wherein data of the first set of interaction data is intrinsically dependent on physical characteristics of the identity-augmented tangible device; computing parametric descriptors from the interaction data; transmitting the parametric descriptors and supplementary data to a remote database system; generating, on the remote database system, identity data from a comparison of parametric descriptors with a known set of parametric descriptors; and authorizing, in response to both of the identity data and the supplementary data, the electronic device to perform a first action.

  • Patent number: 8915551
Abstract: An apparatus for producing round brushes, which have bristles twisted in between two portions of a folded wire. The apparatus has a bristle feeding device and a rotary gripper for twisting two portions of wire with bristles located therebetween, a deflecting device with two deflecting rollers spaced apart in the longitudinal direction of the wire. The rotary gripper is linearly displaceable transversely in relation to the longitudinal direction of the wire, for gripping the folded region of the wire that is formed by force being applied by an application element that is adjustable between the deflecting rollers transversely in relation to the longitudinal direction of the wire. A bristle feeding device, for feeding bristles to the bent-around portions of wire, is provided in the region of the deflecting rollers. In the region of the unfolded portions of wire there is provided a device for slowing the advancement of the wire.

  • Publication number: 20080104504
Abstract: A method of controlling construction, at a remote source, of a machine-readable document is described. The method comprises the steps of presenting a view of a machine-readable document template stored at the remote source and having static and dynamic portions, the dynamic portions being processable in conjunction with a variable data machine-readable document to construct an output machine-readable document. The method further comprises the steps of presenting a view of a variable data machine-readable document stored at the remote source, adding at least one data field to the variable data document, populating the further data field with data and sending an instruction to the remote source to modify the machine-readable document template to include a dynamic portion corresponding to the further data field.

  • Publication number: 20070198853
Abstract: To provide for cryptographic separation, embodiments of the invention employ containment mechanisms provided by trusted operating systems to ensure that plaintext data which must be encrypted in accordance with a security policy (or, in reverse, ciphertext data which is to be decrypted) is processed by a suitable encryption routine before being sent onwards for transmission, storage, or the like. Such containment mechanisms usually include mandatory system access control rules which specify to which system resources the output of a system resource (such as an application) may be supplied. By specifying a suitable set of such rules, mandatory encryption can be enforced at the operating system kernel level.

  • Publication number: 20050042147
Abstract: The invention is a pre-scented and custom treated card for use with a vacuum cleaner having an intake nozzle, a receptacle and a blower that creates a flow from the nozzle to the receptacle so as to carry dirt from the nozzle into the receptacle. The pre-scented and custom scented card includes a card and oil containing a fragrance, an anti-bacterial agent and/or an odor eliminator. The card is formed from a material that is capable of absorbing a fragrance. The oil containing the fragrance, the anti-bacterial eliminator and/or the odor eliminator are disposed on the card. The card may be cut into a plurality of strips that are then inserted into the receptacle through the opening of the bag or receptacle.
