  • Publication number: 20240114876
Abstract: Bacillus strain compositions and methods for reducing growth of one or more mastitis-causing organisms and/or reducing a symptom, sign, or occurrence of mastitis in animals are provided. The Bacillus strain composition can comprise a bacterial cell, a spore, a forespore, and/or a combination of cells, spores, and/or forespores of Bacillus subtilis 839, Bacillus subtilis 4976, and/or an active variant thereof. Compositions and methods provided herein can be applied to beddings of animals, such as dairy cows, and can reduce symptoms, signs, and/or occurrences of mastitis (e.g., environmental mastitis) in the animals and/or reduce somatic cell count in the milk produced by the animals. Beddings for animals comprising the Bacillus strain compositions provided herein in an effective amount to reduce growth of one or more mastitis-causing organisms are also provided.

  • Patent number: 11933266
Abstract: Thus there is provided a method of installing rotor blades of a wind turbine to a rotor hub of the wind turbine. The wind turbine has a tower having a tower longitudinal axis. The rotor hub has a first, a second and a third rotor blade connection. The rotor hub is rotated until the first rotor blade connection is at an angle of 90° or 270° with respect to the tower longitudinal axis. The first rotor blade is lifted substantially horizontally and fixed to the rotor blade connection. The rotor hub is rotated so that the second rotor blade connection is at an angle of 90° or 270° with respect to the tower longitudinal axis. The second rotor blade is lifted substantially horizontally and fixed to the second rotor blade connection. The rotor hub is further rotated until the third rotor blade connection is at an angle of 60° or 300° with respect to the tower longitudinal axis. The third rotor blade is lifted at an angle of ?=30° with respect to a horizontal and fixed to the third rotor blade connection.

  • Publication number: 20130295067
Abstract: An isolated Bacillus strain LSSAO1 is provided. When fed to a bird, this and other Bacillus strains described herein provide benefits to the birds. For example, administration of the one or more Bacillus strain can increase low G+C, gram positive bacteria in the gastrointestinal flora of the bird. These type of bacteria are increased by antibiotics and include beneficial Clostridium. Administration of the one or more Bacillus strain can also inhibit pathogen in the bird, such as E. coli, Salmonella, and Clostridium. These benefits can enhance feed conversion in poultry. Useful combinations of Bacillus strains and methods of using one or more Bacillus strain are also provided.
