  • Publication number: 20070054872
Abstract: Endogenous gene regulation mechanisms together with microRNAs expressed in many organisms can be used to provide regulated or conditional expression of transgenes by placing an appropriate sequence, a microRNA binding site, within the transcribed gene. This microRNA-dependent transcription regulation can be further regulated using microRNA inhibitors.
    Type: Application
    Filed: August 24, 2006
    Publication date: March 8, 2007
    Applicant: Mirus Bio Corporation
    Inventors: Thomas Reppen, David Lewis
  • Publication number: 20060265771
Abstract: In vivo endogenous microRNA (miRNA) activity can be observed over time using miRNA sensor plasmids capable of long term expression. Using reporter genes whose expression can be monitored without sacrificing the animal enables the investigator to follow changes in miRNA expression though developmental stages or in response to environmental factors or treatment regimens.
