    Abstract: The invention relates to a single-photon transmission device for enabling secure authentication, said device comprising a plurality of single-photon sources, a control device which is configured to actuate each of the single-photon sources separately, and an optical subdevice which is configured to combine single-photon streams of photons emitted by the at least one single-photon source into a QKD coupling beam consisting of a common stream of single photons.
