  • Patent number: 11455564
Abstract: Qubit allocation for noisy intermediate-scale quantum computers is provided. A quantum circuit comprises a plurality of logical qubits. A hardware specification comprising a connectivity graph of a plurality of physical qubits. A directed acyclic allocation graph is determined based on the plurality of logical qubits and the connectivity graph. The allocation graph comprises a node for each possible allocation of the plurality of logical qubits to the plurality of physical qubits, each allocation having a fidelity, and a plurality of directed edges, each edge connecting to its corresponding first node from its corresponding second node, the first node corresponding to a first allocation, the second node corresponding to a sub-allocation of the first allocation. The allocation graph is searched for a weighted shortest path from a root node of the allocation graph to a leaf node of the allocation graph. The allocation corresponding to the weighted shortest path is outputted.

  • Patent number: 11440701
Abstract: A block assembly for connecting a first section and a second section of a load bearing assembly includes a male fitting and a female fitting. The male fitting includes a male fitting body and a projection extending from the male fitting body. The female fitting includes a female fitting body and defines a fitting cavity extending within an interior of the female fitting body. The male fitting couples with the female fitting by inserting the male fitting body within the fitting cavity and moving the male fitting body toward a base of the female fitting. The projection on the male fitting interacts with an interlocking joint on the female fitting to resist detachment of the male fitting with respect to the female fitting.

  • Patent number: 11429360
Abstract: A method of using artificial intelligence to provide source code from an original programming language in a target programming language showing regions of low confidence. The method includes receiving, by a computing device, a code base in an original programming language. The computing device further provides the code base in the original programming language to a target programming language using an artificial intelligence tool. The computing device additionally displays the code base in the target programming language using a visualization tool in a visual interface. The computing device still further displays the regions of uncertainty to a human user in the visual interface. The regions of uncertainty provide low confidence regions of the code base in the target programming language for targeted user intervention. The regions of low confidence correlate with violations to provide displayed actionable insight regions.

  • Patent number: 11419201
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing dynamic lighting are provided. In an exemplary aspect, one or more characteristics of light provided from a lighting device or a group of lighting devices changes over time to shape the environment of an indoor space according to dynamic lighting instructions. Dynamic lighting may improve the health or wellbeing of individuals in an indoor space, for example, by simulating an outdoor environment to reduce stress, by providing circadian entrainment to improve sleep and wakefulness, or the like. Other aspects of the present disclosure enable lighting devices to provide light that is synchronized with one or more other devices and does not significantly drift over time so that the lighting devices can provide seamless dynamic lighting experiences that shape the environment of an indoor space.

  • Publication number: 20220255632
Abstract: A photonic-based microwave generator includes a mode-locked laser that generates an optical pulse train, a feedback photodiode that samples the optical pulse train, and a servo amplifier that processes the photodiode output into a servo signal. The servo signal controls the mode-locked laser to suppress relative intensity noise on the optical pulse train. The microwave generator may also include a microwave photodiode for converting the optical pulse train into a microwave signal. The microwave generator may also include a second servo amplifier that processes a low-frequency output of the microwave photodiode into a second servo signal that drives an optical modulator that modulates the optical pulse train. The microwave photodiode, optical modulator, and servo amplifier form a feedback loop that suppresses amplitude noise on the microwave signal. By reducing amplitude noise and relative intensity noise, phase noise caused by amplitude-to-phase noise conversion is minimized.

  • Publication number: 20220189129
Abstract: A computer-implemented method and a system are provided for visualising colocalised fluorescence signals. The method accesses signal intensity data obtained from a first fluorescence channel and a second fluorescence channel in which the signal intensity data is associated with voxels in an image. A regression factor on the signal intensity data is calculated to generate a regression parameter corresponding to a degree of correlation between the signal intensity data obtained from the first and second fluorescence channels The signal intensity data is mapped to the regression parameter and colourmap values are assigned to each voxel based on the mapped signal intensity data in which colourmap values of voxels embodying poorly correlated signal intensity data are reduced. The method renders the voxels in the image in colours according to their colourmap values to visualise colocalisation in the image.
