  • Publication number: 20060244207
Abstract: A card receiving device with a flat structure is disclosed. The device includes a clamping unit and a gear mechanism. The device further includes a first gear mechanism and a second gear mechanism which are driven at least temporarily by a drive, the gear mechanism can be kinetically coupled to the clamping unit, such that the first gear mechanism is kinetically coupled to the clamping unit in a first transport phase and the second gear mechanism is kinetically coupled to the clamping unit in a in a second transport phase.

  • Publication number: 20060245809
Abstract: A printer is disclosed, especially for a tacograph for a motor vehicle, the printer including a housing, a print unit, a media unit which can be partially removed from the housing and a locking unit retaining the media unit. The print quality of conventional printers is subject to extreme fluctuations. The aim of the invention is to produce a printer which produces a good print image despite rough operating conditions. A locking element is included which can be moved translationally perpendicular to the direction of insertion into a locked position and into an unlocked position. A translationally displaceable locking element offers greater security in relation to shocks than a rotationally mounted locking element.

  • Publication number: 20060233585
Abstract: The invention relates to a printer (1) comprising a media unit (26) which can move relative to a printing unit (4). Until now, difficulties in aligning the media unit (26) in the printer (1) always resulted in a poor printing quality. To rectify this, the invention provides that the printing unit (4) is designed so that it can move inside the housing, and means are provided for aligning the printing unit (4) with the media unit (26) so that the printing unit (4) and the media unit (26) can be aligned with one another when the media unit (26) is pushed in the direction of insertion (11). A resilient element (13) enables the printing unit to be advantageously tensioned, in a manner that equalizes tolerances, against the support (11) of the media unit (26) in an operating position. This enables an advantageous equalization of work tolerances and positional tolerances, and the position of the print head (5) relative to the medium to be printed ensures a printing quality that is always very good.

  • Publication number: 20060182483
Abstract: A printer with an elongated media output port is disclosed. The printer may be used for a digital tachograph of a motor vehicle. The printer includes at least one bearing surface which limits the media output in the transverse direction and along which the printing medium slides during output. The boundary conditions for the operation of a small-format printer in a digital tachograph of a motor vehicle makes it necessary that the media output port has to be sealed off against the ingress of harmful media. Therefore, the media output port includes an elongate sealing closure which is movable in the transverse direction and presses elastically against the bearing surface by a sealing feed guide. The printing medium is capable of being outputted between the bearing surface and the sealing closure in an output direction.

  • Publication number: 20060113395
Abstract: The invention relates to a chipcard housing having a first and a second central piece, whereby the first central piece can be displaced by a drive. A locking element is also provided by which a displacement of the second central piece is prevented in a first working position and which may be operated by the first central piece such that the locking is released in a second working position. Both central pieces can mutually entrain the other in the second working position by means of a coupling element and the second central piece includes entraining elements for cooperation with a chipcard. The chipcard housing can be very compact and have a high resistance to shock and vibration influences and hence against manipulation.

  • Publication number: 20050196218
Abstract: The invention relates to a printer having a paper transporting cylinder and a housing provided with a panel having a paper output slit. The printer also has a device for protecting against the penetration of dust and spray water. According to the invention, the device includes a wedge which, in a first position, closes the paper output slit when the printer is not in use, and, in a second position, opens the paper output slit when the printer is in use in such a way that paper can pass through the paper output slit. The invention also has a drive for displacing the closing wedge from the first position to the second position and back.

  • Publication number: 20050168440
Abstract: The present invention relates to a navigational button including an actuating element which is displaceable at least in two directions and controls the navigation button. The present actuating element is arranged in a casing and performs an action on a communication element. A limitation element is disposed between the actuating element and the casing in such a way that it limits actuation efforts performed on the navigational button.

  • Publication number: 20050148231
Abstract: The invention relates to a plug guide for connecting a plug on a first circuit board to a mating connector, or a plug receiving element, on a second circuit board. The first circuit board is used for a display of a digital tachograph and the second circuit board is a system circuit board inside a housing for the digital tachograph. According to the invention, the plug on the first circuit board is provided with a plug guide in order to prevent the risk of mis-insertion during the insertion thereof, which cannot be visually monitored. Said plug guide essentially surrounds the plug in a u-shaped manner and is secured in relation to the plug.

  • Publication number: 20050023852
Abstract: The invention relates to a chip-card-receiving device in which a chip card is fixed by means of clamping elements which are spring-loaded on a carriage and act counter to each other in a tong-type manner, in order to transport the chip card between a feeding/discharge position and a read/write position. The clamping elements interact with inclined elements in the feeding/discharge position in such a way that the clamping elements are widened.

  • Patent number: 5109372
Abstract: An arrangement for loading record discs of different diameters for selectively recording and playback purposes. A fixed base member is provided with a depression that has a rim corresponding to a record disc of larger diameter. This rim protects the record disc against displacement. The depression has a central region with a recess which holds a raisable and lowerable rest. Three supports are mounted on the rest and are positioned on a circle which has a diameter that corresponds to the diameter of the smaller disc. The three supports secure the smaller record disc against displacement while, at the time, they serve for supporting the larger record disk. The smaller disc and the larger disc are both brought into an operating position on the base member by the raisable and lowerable rest. This base member is, at the same time, free of guide tracks. The raisable and lowerable rest is disc-shaped, and is held by a pivotable arm.

  • Patent number: 5037322
Abstract: The proposed plug-in connection provides that the wheel revolution counter itself or its free end, respectively, are constructed as a plug-in connection part with exposed contact paths, the wheel revolution counter being fastened e.g. at a rim of a vehicle wheel, and the counterpart of the plug-in connection provided e.g. in a hand-held device serving for the data take-over. Reciprocally acting catch members and the contacts which latter are assigned to one another, are constructed in such a way that it is possible to connect the wheel revolution counter and data take-over device regardless of position and in such a way that a reciprocal rotation is enabled which serves for making contact.
