Abstract: An inventory management system and method are disclosed wherein the inventory management system comprises a central database populated with product information from a supplier catalog from at least two suppliers wherein the product information is standardized into a common format; software capable of extracting the product information from the central database and inputting the product information into an end-user database; and an inventory management computer program running in the end-user database keeping track of end-user product inventory.
