Patent number: 7500321Abstract: A tool for facilitating threading of a flexible filament or sheet into a hole or opening. The tool includes (i) a filament or sheet guide having a longitudinally extending trough, and (2) an alignment system with (A) a first registration surface configured and arranged to transversely align a hole in a target-piece with the trough when the target-piece abuts the first registration surface, and (B) a second registration surface configured and arranged to laterally align a hole in a target-piece with the trough when the target-piece abuts the second registration surface. Threading of the filament or sheet into the hole or opening can then be achieved by simply causing an upward deflection of a distal portion of the flexible filament or sheet within the trough and moving the deflected distal portion of the filament or sheet along the length of the trough towards the aligned hole or opening in the target-piece until the distal end portion enters the hole or opening.Type: GrantFiled: February 11, 2005Date of Patent: March 10, 2009Assignee: OakRiver Technology, Inc.Inventors: Reily M. Dillon, Kurt Thomas Rolling

Patent number: 5955296Abstract: A disposable biological test pack for determining the efficacy of ETO gas sterilizers comprising a plastic housing which in turn houses a plastic vial holding biological spores. The plastic housing is closed at one end by a rubber cap and at the other end by an end plug with a porous paper/plastic insert or plug which allows sterilant to enter the tube in metered amounts to kill the biological spores contained within a plastic vial otherwise referred to as a self-contained biological indicator. If insufficient sterilant is present the biological spores will survive upon incubation which indicates a failure of the sterilization equipment. The present invention is unique in that it uses low porosity filter material to restrain the entry of the sterilant. By doing so the test pack stimulates the performance of the AAMI standard test pack.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 1997Date of Patent: September 21, 1999Assignee: Steritec Products Inc.Inventor: Thomas Roll
