Abstract: In order for the process and the device to function with as small as possible a number of sensors for operating parameters, a program map (20) is provided from which the intake air pressure (AL) of the charger (3, 5) is derived as a function of the charging pressure (PL), the engine speed (n), and a fuel quantity preset (QK) corresponding to the accelerator position, and there is a device (21) which determines a limit value (QKG1) for the fuel quantity (QK′) metered to the engine (1) as a function of the intake air pressure (AL).

Abstract: The invention relates to a system for monitoring a clutch between a motor of a vehicle and a transmission thereof with respect to impermissible slip. For this purpose, the monitoring system provides that a value is determined with the presence of specific operating conditions. This value represents the slip present at the clutch. This value can then be compared to at least one pregiven first threshold value. With the system of the invention, the clutch is monitored with respect to clutch wear which has already occurred. In one configuration of the invention, the clutch is configured as a converter bridging clutch and is generally configured with an automatic transmission; whereas, in another configuration of the invention, a clutch is considered which can interrupt the frictional connection between the motor of the vehicle and the transmission when the clutch is completely disengaged.

Abstract: In a system for triggering an inductive consumer, particularly a consumer for controlling an internal combustion engine, the consumer is coupled via a circuit element to a voltage source. A control means triggers the circuit element in the switching mode for a preselected ON duration. Furthermore, means are provided for measuring the current flowing through the inductive consumer. To measure an actual current value, a first current value is measured shortly after the closing operation, and a second current value is measured immediately before the opening operation.
