  • Patent number: 12278820
Abstract: Various embodiments described herein relate to a call management system that aims to provide a more efficient, secure, and dynamic technique for authenticating a user based on a location of the user. A server of the call management system receives a phone call from a user device. The server transfers the phone call to an analyst device. When the analyst device accepts the phone call, the server starts an electronic communication session between the user device and the analyst device. The server then determines a current location of the user. The server further determines a question for authentication of the user based on the current location. The server transmits the question to the analyst device. The analyst device transmits the question to the user device via the server. In response to an answer received from the user device, the server authenticates the user.

  • Patent number: 12236409
Abstract: Image processing techniques can be used to determine whether a person has installed an unauthorized device on or in a kiosk. For example, an image processing server can determine whether a person's hand(s) are engaging in abnormal behavior by obtaining recorded images of the person's hand(s) that extend towards the kiosk to perform an action, and by comparing the information in the recorded images with a set of previously known information about other persons' hands that are similarly extended towards the kiosk.

  • Patent number: 12199964
Abstract: A user specific tic behavior detection-based method and system of performing an authentication of video of a person in order to authorize access to a secured resource. The user provides audio and/or video data in which they exhibit one or more tic behaviors. When a person later requests access to the user's account, the system and method are configured to capture a video and/or audio recording of the person requesting access. The data is evaluated to determine whether the previously detected tic behavior is present. If the tic behavior is present, the system determines the image or voice is authentic and can verify an identity of the person. In some cases, the system can further be configured to automatically grant the person access to one or more services, features, or information for which he or she is authorized.

  • Patent number: 12189732
Abstract: A sound-based method and system of performing an authentication of a person in order to permit access to a secured resource is disclosed. The system and method are configured to transmit an audio signal to a remotely located smart device. When the smart device produces the audio signal, a nearby computing device captures the audio signal and provides the captured audio data to an authentication platform. The audio data is compared to the transmitted audio signal. The system can determine whether there is a match between the captured audio data and the transmitted audio data. If there is a match, the system verifies an identity of the person and can further be configured to automatically grant the person access to one or more services, features, or information for which he or she is authorized.

  • Patent number: 12182795
Abstract: Authentication method and systems using RFID-enabled payment cards are disclosed herein where a server receives a request corresponding to authorization of a payment associated with a payment card from an electronic terminal. The server identifies an electronic device of a user associated with the payment card. The server then transmits an instruction to the electronic device to cause an RFID reader of the electronic device to determine whether an RFID tag corresponding to the payment card is located within a predetermined proximity to the electronic device. When the payment card is located within the predetermined proximity, the server executes a first authentication protocol. Moreover, when the payment card is not located within the predetermined proximity, the server executes a second authentication protocol, wherein the second authentication protocol is more restrictive than the first authentication protocol.

  • Patent number: 12172790
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for visual indicators for optimized packing of multi-item packages. In one embodiment, an example system may include an optionally bottomless container, a projector, and a controller configured to determine a first size of a first item to be placed in the bottomless container, determine a second size of a second item to be placed in the bottomless container, determine an item arrangement for the first item and the second item, and determine a first position for a first visual indicator. The controller may be configured to determine a second position for a second visual indicator, determine a size for a square to be projected by the projector, and cause the projector to project the first visual indicator at the first position, the second visual indicator at the second position, and the square onto the bottomless container.

  • Patent number: 12175473
Abstract: A method and system of delegating control to a surrogate for a primary account holder so that the surrogate can control access to funds in a joint account by a secondary account holder when the primary account holder is unavailable. The surrogate's ability to approve or deny the secondary account holder's requests for funds is limited by rules established by the primary account holder. The system includes a secure management account system that implements communications between the surrogate's personal device, the primary account holder's personal device, the secondary account holder's personal device and the financial institution holding the joint account.

  • Patent number: 12157427
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to aggregation of data associated with events related to automotive vehicles. Automotive vehicles may include a variety of sensing devices used in local sensing operations. However, these sensing devices may not be leveraged beyond the local sensing operations. When automotive vehicles are operated, sometimes events occur. As discussed herein, an event-based data aggregation service may aggregate sensing data from one or more sensing devices, such as sensing devices of the automotive vehicles, in response to receiving an event notification associated with one or more of the events and may use the sensing data when responding to the event notification.

  • Patent number: 12118069
Abstract: A real-world object-based method and system of performing an authentication of a person in order to permit access to a secured resource is disclosed. The system and method are configured to collect image data from an end-user in real-time that includes objects in their environment. At least one object is selected and its image data stored for subsequent authentication sessions, when the system can determine whether there is a match between the new image data and image data previously collected and stored in a database. If there is a match, the system verifies an identity of the person and can further be configured to automatically grant the person access to one or more services, features, or information for which he or she is authorized.

  • Patent number: 12051903
Abstract: A system for controlling power in a facility having an electrical system including an energy storage device and a generator and an associated fuel tank. The fuel tank provides fuel to the generator and has a gauge indicating remaining fuel. Both the energy storage device and the generator operate. The generator may be used to provide power to the facility, the energy storage device, or both simultaneously. A first power consuming device imposes a first load connected to the electrical system and second power consuming device imposes a second load connected to the electrical system. The system receives information related to the loads and calculates an initial estimated run time of the energy storage device, and information related to the first load and information related to the second load. The system selectively removes the second load in a simulation and calculates a second run time of the energy storage device.

  • Patent number: 12026239
Abstract: A sound-based method and system of performing an authentication of a person in order to permit access to a secured resource is disclosed. The system and method are configured to collect audio data from an end-user in real-time that corresponds to ambient sounds for their alleged location. The audio data is compared to verified audio data for the actual location. The system can determine whether there is a match between the user audio data and audio data previously collected and stored in a database or obtained from an audio service provider. If there is a match, the system verifies an identity of the person and can further be configured to automatically grant the person access to one or more services, features, or information for which he or she is authorized.

  • Patent number: 11997219
Abstract: To protect corporate information technology (IT) networks, corporations or organizations can design their networks with secure technology. For example, before an employee can remotely access his or her company's network via a user device, a server associated with the company's network can setup an exemplary secure digital certificate for the user device. The secure digital certificate includes a public Internet Protocol (IP) address associated with a router used by the user device to access the Internet. When employee attempts to remotely access his or her company's network, the user device or a router associated with the user device can send the secure digital certificate along with a current public IP address of the router used by the user device to access the Internet. In some embodiments, if the public IP address included in the digital certificate matches the current public IP address, the user device can access the company's network.
