Publication number: 20240076688Abstract: Compositions and methods for controlling pests are provided. The methods involve transforming organisms with a nucleic acid sequence encoding an insecticidal protein. In particular, the nucleic acid sequences are useful for preparing plants and microorganisms that possess insecticidal activity. Thus, transformed bacteria, plants, plant cells, plant tissues and seeds are provided. Compositions are insecticidal nucleic acids and proteins of bacterial species. The sequences find use in the construction of expression vectors for subsequent transformation into organisms of interest including plants, as probes for the isolation of other homologous (or partially homologous) genes. The pesticidal proteins find use in controlling, inhibiting growth or killing Lepidopteran, Coleopteran, Dipteran, fungal, Hemipteran and nematode pest populations and for producing compositions with insecticidal activity.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 17, 2023Publication date: March 7, 2024Applicant: PIONEER HI-BRED INTERNATIONAL, INCInventors: JENNIFER KARA BARRY, CATHERINE J CLARK, RYAN MICHAEL GERBER, AMY LUM, JOHN P MATHIS, AZALEA S ONG, BROOKE PETERSON-BURCH, THOMAS CHAD WOLFE, WEIPING XIE, NASSER YALPANI, XIAOHONG ZHONG

Publication number: 20240033100Abstract: Interbody implants may be formed by a product by process in which a first metallic frame component having an interconnected superior endplate and an interconnected inferior endplate are formed. In some embodiments, the endplates are interconnected by flexible struts and in others they are interconnected by translating struts. In various embodiments, a polymeric body may be infilled between the superior endplate and inferior endplate by a molding process, e.g., an injection molding process or an overmolding process. In various embodiments, the metallic frame may have a first compressive stiffness, the polymeric body may have a second compressive stiffness, and the first compressive stiffness of the metallic frame may be about 20% to about 80% of the second stiffness of the body. In various embodiments, a sum of the first compressive stiffness of the metallic frame and the second stiffness of the body is about 33,500 N/mm to about 11,500 N/mm.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 29, 2022Publication date: February 1, 2024Applicant: Warsaw Orthopedic, Inc.Inventors: Keith E. Miller, Thomas S. Wolfe, Newton H. Metcalf, Rodney R. Ballard, Julien J. Prevost, Jeffrey Warren Beale

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING A VEHICLE SUBJECT TO AN EMERGENCY ALERT AND DISPATCHING OF SIGNALS
Publication number: 20240005786Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for identifying a vehicle subject to an emergency alert are provided. The system comprises one or more autonomous vehicles, each autonomous vehicle comprising a vehicle detection and identification system configured to analyze one or more vehicles within a surrounding environment, and a wireless emergency alert system. The wireless emergency alert system may be configured to receive or generate an emergency alert, wherein the emergency alert includes a geographic region associated with the emergency alert and one or more identifiable markers of a wanted vehicle, determine one or more autonomous vehicles to receive the emergency alert, and relay the emergency alert to the one or more autonomous vehicles.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 30, 2022Publication date: January 4, 2024Applicant: Kodiak Robotics, Inc.Inventors: Thomas S. Wolfe, Monika Y. Darwish -
Publication number: 20240005785Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for identifying a vehicle subject to an emergency alert. The method includes receiving an emergency alert, wherein the emergency alert includes a geographic region associated with the emergency alert and one or more identifiable markers of a wanted vehicle, determining whether the autonomous vehicle is within the geographic region associated with the emergency alert, and detecting, using one or more detection mechanisms coupled to the autonomous vehicle, a detected vehicle within an environment of the autonomous vehicle. The method further includes, when the autonomous vehicle is within the geographic region associated with the emergency alert, determining, for each identifiable marker, whether the detected vehicle matches the identifiable marker, and when the detected vehicle matches the one or more identifiable markers, generating, using a processor coupled to the autonomous vehicle, a signal indicating that the detected vehicle is the wanted vehicle.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 30, 2022Publication date: January 4, 2024Applicant: Kodiak Robotics, Inc.Inventors: Thomas S. Wolfe, Monika Y. Darwish
