  • Patent number: 11961689
Abstract: A load break tool is disclosed. The load break tool includes a main housing; a sleeve having a first end and a second end coaxially mounted in the main housing and slidable between a retracted position and an extended position, wherein the second end of the sleeve remains in the main housing in the extended position; a clip assembly connected to the main housing for engaging a pull ring of a circuit isolating device; and a hook engaging terminal rotatably connected to the first end of the sleeve, such that the hook engaging terminal rotates relative to the clip assembly.

  • Publication number: 20150012946
Abstract: Methods and systems are discussed herein for presenting tag lines associated with media assets in an interactive media guide. For example, a media guidance application may generate a media guide featuring a plurality of media listings. When a user navigates to a media listing, the media guidance application may determine a tag line (e.g., a memorable phrase or scene associated with the media asset that jogs a user's memory) associated with the media listing. The media guidance application may then present the tag line.

  • Publication number: 20150007212
Abstract: Methods and systems are discussed herein for generating audio presentations of musical insignias associated with media providers in an interactive media guide. For example, instead of requiring a user to read or otherwise visually identify a media object on an interactive guide, the media guidance application generates an audio presentation of a musical insignia known to a user to be associated with the media object.

  • Publication number: 20140344682
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed herein for a user input interface, which customizes tactilely distinguishable inputs on the user input interface based on available or currently in use functions on a target device. For example, a user input interface on a remote device (e.g., a tablet computer) may generate physical buttons associated with a function (e.g., adjusting volume) in response to determining that that function is available on a target device (e.g., a television, personal computer, or set-top box).

  • Patent number: 8554049
Abstract: Embodiments provide methods and systems for synchronizing simultaneous media asset viewing for users at different geographical viewing locations. In some embodiments, a first user device receives a request to synchronize viewing of a media asset with a second user device. Control circuitry may automatically determine that the media asset is available to the second user device after becoming available so the first user device. Based on the determining, the control circuitry may automatically schedule the media asset for recording on the first user device. In some embodiments, control circuitry synchronizes viewing of the media asset when the media access becomes available to the second user device. The second user device may access a video feed transmitted by a media source, while the first user device accesses a video feed of a recorded media asset.

  • Publication number: 20130173742
Abstract: Embodiments provide methods and systems for synchronizing simultaneous media asset viewing for users at different geographical viewing locations. In some embodiments, a first user device receives a request to synchronize viewing of a media asset with a second user device. If the first user device accepts the request for synchronized viewing, the first and second user devices receive the media asset from a common source. Control circuitry at the common source may determine the latencies to the first and second user devices. The transmission of the media asset to the first and second user devices is adjusted according to the latencies.

  • Patent number: 7722432
Abstract: A method for making a garment having a lofted assembly having an outer support layer and garment so produced are provided. The method includes the steps of positioning a support fabric on a lofted material; sewing the support fabric to the lofted material to form a lofted assembly; positioning the lofted assembly in a molding apparatus having at least a first mold and a second mold, closing together the first mold and the second mold thereby sandwiching the lofted assembly therebetween and while maintaining a uniform preset gap between said first mold and the second mold so that the inherent loft characteristics of the lofted assembly are substantially preserved after pressure and/or heat are applied.

  • Patent number: 7556553
Abstract: A method for making a garment having a lofted assembly having an inner laminated support fabric and an outer panel and the garment produced are provided. The method includes the steps of positioning a support fabric on a lofted material; laminating the support fabric to the lofted material to form a lofted assembly; positioning the lofted assembly in a molding apparatus having at least a first mold and a second mold, closing together the first mold and the second mold thereby sandwiching the lofted assembly therebetween and while maintaining a uniform preset gap between said first mold and the second mold so that the inherent loft characteristics of the lofted assembly are substantially preserved. Then the outer panel is stitched to an outer side of said lofted assembly.

  • Patent number: 5384023
Abstract: An improved liquid/liquid solvent extraction method and apparatus utilizes an external electrode for creating an electric field within an extraction cell to shatter aqueous sample droplets flowing within a non-conductive solvent. The external electrode is in intimate contact with the exterior surface of the insulative cell wall so as to preclude direct electrical contact between the electrode and the internal liquids. A sample interface detector permits the interface between the two liquids to be detected when the liquids sequentially flow out from the cell, thereby facilitating separate collection of the liquid. Interface detection is achieved by coupling electrical pulses into the flowing liquid to cause ionization charge/discharge cycles in the conductive aqueous sample but not in the non-conductive solvent. Downstream detection of the charge/discharge cycle in the liquid identifies the interface.
