  • Patent number: 10269241
Abstract: A method for geographic region detection of traffic infrastructure via a receiver disposed in the region of the traffic infrastructure for a detection region of the receive unit, wherein status data of vehicles is communicated by the vehicles several times to the receive unit via wireless communication during the period in which vehicles pass through the detection region of the receiver, the receiver, or a processor connected to the receive unit, computes a vector for each vehicle, where the vector extends from a first position of the vehicle to a second position of the vehicle, and the receiver or the processor determines directions of travel of the vehicles and the geographic location of roadways and/or lanes of the roadways of the traffic infrastructure in the detection region from the vectors of all the vehicles.

  • Patent number: 9238411
Abstract: A non-rail-bound vehicle, truck or bus, includes a current collector feeding electrical energy from an overhead line installation having a contact wire. The collector has a contact strip with a working region contacting the contact wire. An actuating device coupled to the collector adjusts the contact strip. The contact strip is horizontal and adjustable transversely to a vehicle longitudinal axis. A sensor senses the position of the vehicle relative to the contact wire. A control device connected to the sensor and the actuating device actuates the actuating device based on the sensed vehicle position, so that the contact strip maintains contact with the contact wire within its working range. The vehicle thus reliably maintains contact with the contact wire through the collector during operation on multilane roadways with an at least partially electrified lane, even at relatively high speeds of, for example, 80 to 100 km/h.

  • Publication number: 20100292971
Abstract: In a method and a testing device for testing a traffic-control system, a traffic situation is simulated and traffic simulation data are generated on the basis of control data of the traffic-control system. The data are transmitted to the traffic-control system as input data. At the same time behavior probability distributions of traffic participants are ascertained based on at least part of the control data and the simulation of the traffic situation takes place using the behavior probability distributions.

  • Publication number: 20090322562
Abstract: A traffic device is provided for showing a traffic sign on a carriageway along which a vehicle is able to drive. The traffic device has a projection apparatus for creating an optical projection of the traffic sign on the carriageway which is such that the projected traffic sign is perceivable by a driver.
