    Abstract: In described examples, a switching mode power supply includes an output filter, a driver, a pulse width modulator, and pulse adaptation circuitry. The output filter is configured to provide output of the switching mode power supply. The driver is coupled to the output filter and is configured to switch current to the output filter. The pulse width modulator is configured to generate pulses that control switching of current by the driver. The pulse width modulator includes spread spectrum logic configured to randomize timing of the pulses generated by the pulse width modulator. The pulse adaptation circuitry is configured to identify an instantaneous excursion of the output of the switching mode power supply beyond a predetermined threshold, and to modify the randomized timing of the pulses produced by the pulse width modulator based on the identified instantaneous excursion.

    Abstract: Methods and devices provide mode switching in order to secure cash handling devices. A cash handling device allows a first selection to be input in order to request an exchange transaction. Currency may be inserted into the cash handling device. A display may prompt a user to identify one or more requested denominations of currency. A user may then identify one or more of the requested denominations for the exchange transaction. Elapsed time may be counted after prompting the user to identify denominations. If the elapsed time exceeds a timeout threshold, the transaction may be switched from an exchange transaction to a deposit transaction and the inserted currency may be credited as a deposit into an account. Otherwise, the exchange transaction may proceed and the currency may be provided in the requested denomination.

    Abstract: Methods and devices provide for blind withdrawal of currency for transportation. A cash handling device may allow a selection for transport withdrawal. The user need not know the amount to be requested for dispensation. At least a portion of the currency in the cashing handling device may be stored in the container. The container may have an identifier (e.g., a barcode, an RFID tag, and the like) on it. The identifier may be stored in a database along with the amount of currency in the container. The database may be stored locally in the cashing handling device or in remote location. At a location to which the container is being delivered, the identifier may be read and used to lookup in the database the amount of currency in the container. The currency in the container may be counted and compared to the amount stored in the database for the identifier.

The pin may further include flattened portions on its circumference to aide in rotating the pin during insertion. The pin may be treated to reduce brittleness.

In one or more arrangements, a notification that a change order request has been received may be transmitted to a manager or other change order personnel.
