Publication number: 20250304278Abstract: A system for determining an automatic landing path for an aircraft that can conduct automatic landings in many different scenarios. The system includes an aircraft landing controller, a network of sensing systems comprising a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), an Instrument Landing System (ILS), and a vision sensing system, a processor, a communication device, and computer-readable memory. In operation, the system receives one or more radio signals from the ILS, one or more GNSS signals from the GNSS, and one or more vision sensor signals from the vision sensing system. The system evaluates, via the processor, the received signals to generate an aircraft landing profile indicative of the method of automatically landing the aircraft. The system transmits the aircraft landing profile to the aircraft landing controller. The system can provide automatic landings for any approach type including on runways without published instrument approaches.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 26, 2024Publication date: October 2, 2025Inventors: Andres Perez Rocha, John Roltgen, Juan Segal, Thomas Scanlon, Agrim Sareen, John Perich

Publication number: 20250059258Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the field of chromatography, and more specifically to novel affinity ligands and affinity agents which are suitable for use in isolation of antibody and antibody fragments that contain the heavy chain first constant region (CHI). The disclosure encompasses affinity ligands as such, chromatography separation matrices (affinity agents) comprising an affinity ligand according to the disclosure, and a process of isolating antibodies, especially IgGs, and CHI-containing antibody fragments thereof using an affinity ligand according to the disclosure. Methods of making the affinity ligands and separation matrices are also provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 23, 2022Publication date: February 20, 2025Applicant: AVITIDE LLCInventors: Thomas Scanlon, Jonathan Belk, Kelley Kearns, Sarah Valentini

Publication number: 20240236347Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for video encoding/decoding. In some examples, an apparatus for video decoding includes receiving circuitry and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry decodes prediction information of a current block from a coded video bitstream. In some embodiments, the processing circuitry determines a first subpartition and a second sub-partition of the current block based on the decoded prediction information, and then reconstructs the first sub-partition and the second sub-partition of the current block based on at least a neighboring sample of the current block that is out of a neighboring area of at least one of the first sub-partition and the second sub-partition.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 22, 2022Publication date: July 11, 2024Inventors: Christian Ndong, Jonathan Belk, Sarah Mallon, Kelley Kearns, Thomas Scanlon, Warren Kett

Patent number: 4848064Abstract: A system for seriatim filling and separating zipper-equipped bags supplied in a chain has a filling station in which each bag mouth is spread open to permit top filling, a closing station in which the zipper profiles of each filled bag are interlocked, and a separation station in which the filled bag is separated from the chain. A pincer action grasps each filled bag, draws the filled bag through the closing and separation stations, and releases the separated and filled bag for collection. The operation of the pincer serves to bring about indexing of the bags in the chain through the bag filling system. The result is an economical and reliable zipper equipped bag filling method and apparatus.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 1988Date of Patent: July 18, 1989Assignee: Minigrip, Inc.Inventors: Peter Lems, Steven Ausnit, Robert S. Nocek, Thomas Scanlon
