  • Patent number: 7347481
Abstract: A vehicle roof of a convertible with at least one front roof part, a rear roof part that is movable between a closed position over the vehicle interior and an open position in which it is stowed in a rear stowage space, and a rear window which is pivotably supported on the rear roof part. In the open position in the stowage space, the window is raised relative to the rear roof part. For improved actuation of the rear window, a holding mechanism keeps the rear window in its closed position on the rear roof part and when the rear roof part is being stowed, releases the rear window to swing relative to the rear roof part. A support is located in the stowage space and supports the rear window while the rear roof part is lowered into its stowage position.

  • Patent number: 6623064
Abstract: A convertible motor vehicle roof, especially for hatchbacks or pickups, with at least one roof part which is supported to move lengthwise on the side roof members and when the roof is being opened, can be moved into the storage position. The roof part or roof parts can be moved onto a roof unit or rear unit before lowering of the roof into a storage space. The storage space compactly accommodates the roof part or the roof parts arranged stacked therein so that due to the reduced space requirement, the possibilities for movement and storage for the movable and storable roof parts on the motor vehicle body are improved.

  • Patent number: 6450562
Abstract: A pivot drive for a front side roof rod of a motor vehicle roof or a convertible folding top which is supported with a pivoting joint on a rear lateral roof rod. The rear lateral roof rod is pivotally supported via a rod arrangement on the motor vehicle body. When the roof or folding top is open the top can be lowered into a lowered position, and when the roof or folding top is opened and closed the front side roof rod is pivoted by the pivot drive. The pivot drive has a connector that couples in driving engagement the front roof rod to a rod of the rod arrangement. The pivot drive pivots the front side roofrod relative to the rear roofrod when the roof or folding top is being lowered by the pivoting motion of the roof rod.
