  • Publication number: 20250121855
Abstract: A method for unsupervised maneuvering of a vehicle as well as a corresponding automotive control unit and a vehicle are provided. Prior to causing the vehicle to autonomously depart a parking position without supervision, the vehicle performs a first pre-departure movement configured to prevent endangering VRUs in a vicinity of the vehicle. The parking position is located outside of a field of view of the user. In response to receiving a command from a user of the vehicle instructing the vehicle to autonomously drive to a vehicle retrieval location, the vehicle drives autonomously to the vehicle retrieval location.

  • Publication number: 20250045987
Abstract: A system and method for accessing a remotely located two dimensional (2D) drawing via a mobile device at a work site includes a reference device at the work site configured to provide a geographical reference to the mobile device. A document retrieval system is configured to access the plurality of 2D drawings in a document repository. The mobile device provides an annotated document to the document retrieval system. The document retrieval system accesses the 2D drawing in the document repository based on the annotated document, and provides a rasterized version of the 2D drawing to the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 6166454
Abstract: A battery disconnection system (10) for a motor vehicle comprising a rod (12) having a longitudinal axis (A), an external threaded surface (14) extending from one end and a cylindrical member (16) extending coaxially with the rod (12), from the other end. Reversible drive means (20,22,24) engage the threaded surface (14). A first annular member (30) coaxial and in sliding contact with the cylindrical member (16). A second annular member (32) coaxial and in sliding contact with the cylidrical member (16). Either annular member being connectable with a motor vehicle battery. The other annular member being connectable with a starter motor and/or a generator (38) of a motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 5886611
Abstract: A fuse assembly (10) for mounting on a battery of a motor vehicle comprising a housing (12) of electrically insulating material having a base plate (22); a starter motor cable terminal (18) mounted on the base plate; a number of cable harness terminals (20); a fuse strip (14) secured on the base plate and including a busbar (36), a contact portion (40) adjacent the starter motor cable terminal, contact portions (38) making an electrical connection with each cable harness terminal, and fusible links (42) connecting the contact portions with the busbar; and a battery terminal clamp (16) having a mounting portion (26) positioned inside the housing and making an electrical connection with the busbar of the fuse strip, and a clamp portion (28) positioned outside the housing for making an electrical connection with a terminal post of the battery. Provides a compact fuse assembly for a motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 5792653
Abstract: In an apparatus for culturing cells which comprises a plate-like body with a lattice structure having openings separated from one another by sidewalls and a bottom disposed on one side of the lattice structure and having passages permeable for liquids but not for cells so as to form, with the lattice structure, cavities for receiving cells to be grown therein, the cavities have a clear width of between 50 .mu.m and 1000 .mu.m and the bottom consists of a material to which cells placed into the cavities will not easily attach so that the cells grow from the side walls of the cavities causing them to form a three-dimensional cell structure.

  • Patent number: 5645443
Abstract: A potential distributor is disclosed which comprises a two-layer, flat base rail having a plurality of flat plug tongues which project from the base rail and are oriented transversely with respect to the course of the rail. The two layers of the base rail are made from two folded limbs of an integral strip which are pressed flat against one another. Catch parts on the outer edges of the two folded limb located in longitudinally staggered relationship are used to produce a third layer of sheet metal material in the base rail. Extensions of the edge parts are bent and produce the flat plug tongues.

  • Patent number: 5253409
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a plastic article having micro-openings defined therein by working a semi-finished plastic structure having microrecesses defined on one side thereof, the method including, in the order recited, providing a semi-finished plastic structure having opposing first and second sides, wherein the first side of the opposing sides has microrecesses defined therein; filling the semi-finished plastic structure to cover the microrecesses with a substance which is hardenable and selectively removable; hardening the substance; machining the surface of the hardened substance to smooth it; clamping the semi-finished plastic structure onto a vacuum tensioning device with the smoothed surface of the hardened substance in contact with the vacuum tensioning device; machining the second side of the opposing sides of the semi-finished plastic structure until the microrecesses of the first side are at least partially exposed thereby defining micro-openings in the structure; and removing the hardened substa
