  • Patent number: 12638860
Abstract: A method and apparatus for remote control of a vehicle. An input and/or remote control device is provided. The apparatus includes: a transceiver device in the vehicle, configured to exchange signals with the input and/or remote control device; sensors mounted in or on the vehicle for detecting the environment of the vehicle; a signal from the input and/or remote control device to the transceiver device activates an operating mode in the vehicle in which the vehicle moves to a target position independently, i.e., without the assistance of a driver located in the vehicle. The target position is in a first direction of travel of the vehicle. The vehicle, in the operating mode, also moves in the second direction of travel opposite the first direction of travel depending on the detected environment. The vehicle can also move away from the target position in order to reach the target position.

  • Patent number: 12591246
Abstract: A method and device for remotely controlling a motor vehicle. A remote control device is provided. A transceiver device is located in the vehicle and is configured to exchange signals with the remote control device. A signal from the remote control device to the transceiver device activates a first operating mode in the vehicle, in which operating mode the vehicle moves autonomously, while maintaining specifiable surrounding conditions. The first operating mode is left if the specifiable surrounding conditions can no longer be maintained. After leaving the first operating mode, a second operating mode can be activated by a further signal to the transceiver device. In the second operating mode, the vehicle also moves autonomously but while maintaining further surrounding conditions which are at least partially changed in comparison to the surrounding conditions that can be specified in the first operating mode.

  • Publication number: 20140204210
Abstract: A method for ascertaining a relative position between a vehicle and an object located laterally to the vehicle, and a retrofitting kit having components to carry out this method. The object is initially detected in that the vehicle passes the object at least once. Subsequently, the vehicle movement is detected by a camera system which is situated in the vehicle and which generates video images at different recording points in time. Then, the detected vehicle movement is linked to the installation position of the camera system in the vehicle, the position of the at least one object detection sensor and a reference point. Next, the relative position change of the vehicle relative to the previously detected object is determined.

  • Publication number: 20120191284
Abstract: In a method for pulling a vehicle out of a parking space with assistance by a parking-assistance device, at least one pulling-out movement is performed by intervention in a steering system of the vehicle. A warning is output to a driver of the vehicle when the driver of the vehicle fails to take over the guidance of the vehicle after the assistance by the parking-assistance device in pulling out of the parking space has ended.

  • Patent number: 7971475
Abstract: A method for diagnosing an internal combustion engine in a motor vehicle having at least one sensor unit, including at least one sound receiver, the sound receiver converting sound waves into an electrical signal. Sound waves of the internal combustion engine are recorded using the sound receiver of the sensor unit and converted into an electrical signal, and the electrical signal is used for the diagnosis of the operating state of the internal combustion engine.
