  • Publication number: 20150079176
Abstract: A uniform microfluidized nanoemulsion is disclosed containing a synergistic combination of two antioxidants and a cell membrane stabilizer phospholipid (i.e., an anti-oxidant synergy formulation; ASF). The microfluidized nanoemulsion improves the combination's cell membrane permeability by at least four-fold over conventional nanoemulsion compositions, which significantly increases the intracellular concentration of typically cell-impermeant antixoidants (i.e., for example, tocopherol) and/or systemic bioavailability. As a nanoemulsion, synergistic combination has greater anticancer efficacy than the same combination applied as a free solution.

  • Publication number: 20050098518
Abstract: A merchandising display assembly capable of being secured to an elevated surface, the assembly including a foldable and durable planar shaped and three-dimensional display element. Overlapping edges of the display element are adhesively secured together and to establish four interconnected sides with an open interior. A plurality of apertures are formed in aligning fashion through first and second selected and spaced apart sides of said display element and in order to secure display hangers supporting in turn pluralities of merchandise items. An advertising indicia placed upon at least one of said first and second selected and spaced apart sides and typically includes a multi-color graphics display imprinted upon a planar sheet of material in turn secured to the foldable board material. At least one fixed or adjustable elongated support extends from a selected location of the display element for securing said assembly.

  • Patent number: 6811922
Abstract: A battery pack is disclosed that includes a battery receiving frame. The frame is a single integral piece comprising two end cap portions and two spine portions, and is preferably molded from a flexible thermoplastic. One of the two spines has a free end, allowing that spine to be flexed so as to create an opening for insertion of electrochemical cells into the frame. The pack optionally includes the application of a label to portions of the frame and cells. The battery pack frame is molded from a thermoplastic resin material. Preferably, the material is a mixture of a polyolefin matrix comprising more than 30 weight percent of the thermoplastic material and an aromatic polymer having a repeating unit that comprises at least one aromatic functional group. In the preferred embodiment, the polyolefin is a polypropylene and the aromatic polymer is a poly(phenylene oxide).

  • Patent number: 5484519
Abstract: A revolvable rack for neckties that can be either temporarily or permanently hooked or fastened to a rod or a store fixture, and a container for shipping the rack while it is fully loaded with ties. The rack is easily rotated by hand, has a relatively small turning radius and has the capacity to hold several dozen ties. Once the tie rack is placed in the container, the container serves to both store and protect the ties in an organized and out-of-the-way manner. The tie rack and container combination can be hung together in an existing space. The container allows the fully loaded tie rack to be quickly and easily lifted out of the container in one smooth motion, and directly hung on a rod or on a merchandising fixture in a store without the use of special tools or equipment, such that the ties are readily and pleasingly displayed.
