Publication number: 20240070601Abstract: A method includes a computer receiving a fulfillment request associated with one or more items. Responsive to receiving the fulfillment request, the computer determines estimated weight data based on the one or more items in the fulfillment request. The computer obtains actual weight data associated with the fulfillment request for one or more items. The computer verifies that the actual weight data corresponds to the estimated weight data. The computer performs additional processing based on verifying.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 18, 2023Publication date: February 29, 2024Applicant: DoorDash, Inc.Inventors: Harrison Shih, Hamid Sani, Levi Lalla, Agota Sipos, Milind Shah, Derek Bruce Young, Thomas Belluscio

Publication number: 20100262511Abstract: The method of the invention is based on a membership-only association (“MOA”). Preferably, the MOA operates as a not-for-profit entity having a formal organization such as a corporation or LLC. MOA receives membership fees to pay for accounting fees, legal fees, product liability insurance, and year-end buy backs of dead back-up inventory. The MOA solicits retailers, designers, wholesalers, and manufacturers, or some combination thereof, to become members of the association. Applicants for membership are screened based on criteria determined by founding members of the MOA. Once accepted, the prospective member enters into a contractual relationship with the MOA. The types of members include, by way of example, Design Members, Supply Members, Logistical Wholesale Members, and Retail Members. Administration, logistics, and communications among the Design, Retail, and Logistical Wholesale Members are facilitated by a Support Entity.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 7, 2009Publication date: October 14, 2010Inventor: Thomas Shih An Lee

Patent number: 5705515Abstract: Substituted sulfonamides are selective .beta..sub.3 adrenergic receptor agonists with very little .beta..sub.1 and .beta..sub.2 adrenergic receptor activity and as such the compounds are capable of increasing lipolysis and energy expenditure in cells. The compounds thus have potent activity in the treatment of Type II diabetes and obesity. The compounds can also be used to lower triglyceride levels and cholesterol levels or raise high density lipoprotein levels or to decrease gut motility. In addition, the compounds can be used to reduced neurogenic inflammation or as antidepressant agents. The compounds are prepared by coupling an aminoalkylphenyl-sulfonamide with an appropriately substituted epoxide. Compositions and methods for the use of the compounds in the treatment of diabetes and obesity and for lowering triglyceride levels and cholesterol levels or raising high density lipoprotein levels or for increasing gut motility are also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 1996Date of Patent: January 6, 1998Assignee: Merck & Co., Inc.Inventors: Michael H. Fisher, Elizabeth M. Naylor, Emma R. Parmee, Thomas Shih, Hyun Ok, Ann E. Weber

Patent number: 5689012Abstract: A continuous process for the preparation of polyoxyalkylene polyethers using DMC catalysts as the polyoxyalkylation catalyst employs continuous addition of alkylene oxide in conjunction with continuous addition of starter and catalyst to a continuous oxyalkylation reactor. Despite the continuous introduction of starter, the molecular weight distribution of the polyether product is quite narrow, as indicated by the exceptionally low polydispersity of the product. The presence of low molecular weight species during the majority of the polyoxyalkylation also substantially eliminates extremely high molecular weight fractions having molecular weights greater than 100,000 Da, again without appreciably broadening molecular weight distribution. By withdrawing intermediate molecular weight polyether product or diverting a portion of the end product to prepare a catalyst/starter mixture, rapid and sustained reaction rates can be achieved while employing low molecular weight starters.Type: GrantFiled: July 18, 1996Date of Patent: November 18, 1997Assignee: ARCO Chemical Technology, L.P.Inventors: Jose F. Pazos, T. Thomas Shih
