  • Patent number: 7954425
Abstract: To improve the efficiency of juice-extracting food processors (1) based on grating fruit or vegetables, wherein the inlet piece (2) forms an interstice (I) with the grating disk (3), interstitial cutting teeth (302) are arranged in the interstice (I). Pieces of fruit or vegetables in the interstice (I) are additionally accelerated in the direction of the sieve 151 due to centrifugal forces by the interstitial cutting teeth (302) acting on these pieces. The juice contained in these pieces is thus more efficiently extracted. For better processing of pieces of fruit or vegetables with a high juice content, the interstitial cutting teeth (302) are preferably higher than the other cutting teeth (301) of the grating disk (3).

  • Patent number: 7478587
Abstract: In a kitchen appliance (1) with a housing (2) and with a liquid crystal display device (12), the liquid crystal display device (12) is accommodated in an accommodating section (11) of the housing (2), and the accommodating section (11) is bounded, on a front face (13) and on a rear face (14), by a transparent housing-wall section (15, 16), and the liquid crystal display device (12) is in the form of a negatively transmissive liquid crystal display device (12), which is disposed between the two transparent housing-wall sections (15, 16).

  • Patent number: 6814321
Abstract: The invention relates to a food processor (1) with a motor (M) to drive at least one tool and with input means (13 to 18) to switch on at least one operating process, with a microcomputer (43) to control the operating processes and realize a detection stage (44) for the detection of the interruption of an operating process, which microcomputer contains a memory (50) for storing operating values present immediately before the interruption of an operating process, the microcomputer (43) being designed to start the continuation of an interrupted operating process following an activation of a reactivation switch (13 to 18) provided for the reactivation purpose, the reactivation switch (13 to 18) preferably being formed by the operating-mode switch (13 to 18) concerned.
