  • Publication number: 20220063353
Abstract: A tire (1) has improved handling and comprises a stiffening structure (7) comprising two stiffening elements (8), each extending continuously in the toroidal interior cavity (6) from a crown interface (81) connected to a radially inner face of the crown (23) to a bead interface (82) connected to an axially inner face of the bead (41). The stiffening structure (7) is distributed circumferentially around the entire circumference of the tire. The crown interface (81) is positioned, with respect to the equatorial plane (XZ), at an axial distance A at most equal to 0.45 times the axial width S and the bead interface (82) is positioned, with respect to a radially innermost point (I) of the axially inner face of the bead (41), at a radial distance B at least equal to 0.10 times the radial height H and at most equal to 0.5 times the radial height H.

  • Publication number: 20200009814
Abstract: The curing bladder for a tire comprises a body made of a flexible material suited to being inserted in the drawn-in position inside a pneumatic tire in a curing mould and which is capable of being expanded so as to flatten the tire against the internal surface of the mould. The body is produced based on a film made of a thermoplastic polymer and has a cylindrical tube shape when the bladder is in the drawn-in position.

  • Patent number: 10239270
Abstract: A mold for a tire is disclosed herein. The mold includes first and second shells mold-able to lateral sidewalls of the tire, and a plurality of sectors that are distributed in the circumferential direction and are mold-able to the tread of said tire. The sectors are radially movable between an open position and a closed position of the mold. The mold also comprises at least one spacing interposed between each sector and each shell in order to keep said sector and the shells spaced apart in the radial direction in the closed position of the mold, such that the shells and the sectors are in contact in the radial direction only by way of the spacing. The spacing is also able to limit the heat transfer between the shells and the sectors in said closed position.

  • Patent number: 10124550
Abstract: A tire vulcanizing device includes a vulcanization mold and a central part. The vulcanizing mold includes molding parts that defining a curing chamber therebetween. Inside the curing chamber is arranged a heating and ventilation apparatus structured for use with a heat-transfer fluid. The central part is structured to collaborate with the vulcanization mold by providing support to a heat-transfer fluid inlet and establishing communication between the heat-transfer fluid inlet and the curing chamber. The central part includes heating elements that are configured to be brought into operation before the heating and ventilation apparatus is brought into operation to cure a tire using the heat-transfer fluid.
