  • Publication number: 20060255220
Abstract: A clamp is provided for securing an accessory to a rail of a patient support apparatus. The clamp comprises a first jaw adapted to be placed on the rail, a second jaw coupled to the first jaw for movement between an open position and a closed position, a resilient member that is forced against the rail when the second jaw is moved from the open position to the closed position, and a latch coupled to the second jaw and movable relative to the second jaw between a latched position in which the second jaw is locked in the closed position relative to the first jaw and an unlatched position in which the second jaw is movable between the open and closed positions. The resilient member engages the rail with sufficient force to inhibit movement of the clamp along the rail when the second jaw is in the closed position.

  • Publication number: 20060253985
Abstract: An apparatus comprises a base configured to mount on a frame, a post coupled to the base and extending upwardly therefrom, a head support for supporting the head of a patient lying in a prone position on the frame, and a lockable joint coupled to the post and coupled to the head support to position the head support above the base. The lockable joint, when locked, prevents movement of the head support along the post and prevents movement of the head support relative to the post about a plurality of axes. The lockable joint, when unlocked, allows movement of the head support along the post and allows movement of the head support relative to the post about the plurality of axes.

  • Publication number: 20060242765
Abstract: An accessory has a substantially radiolucent frame, a floor-supported base, and a support structure extending between the base and one end of the frame. A second end of the frame is coupleable to a surgical table in a manner that permits the frame to articulate relative to the surgical table. The support structure is extendable and retractable to change the height at which the first end of the frame is supported above the base. The support structures is able to tilt front to rear and side to side relative to the base and the frame is able to tilt front to rear and side to side relative to the support structure. The frame is movable to a compact storage position having the second end of the frame supported on the base. A set of wheels are provided on the base to permit the accessory to be wheeled from one location to another.
