  • Patent number: 7926065
Abstract: A method and system for dynamically specifying a format for data provided by a web service invocation. A server providing a web service receives a client request for data residing on the server. The server receives an executable template script within the request. The template script includes an instruction for invoking a function residing in the server and a definition specifying a format to structure the requested data. The server executes the template script to perform the instruction, invoke the function to retrieve the data, and generate formatted data based on the definition. The formatted data is the retrieved data structured in the format specified by the definition. The server sends the formatted data to the client.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 6717397
Abstract: A device for measuring alternating current in a conductor comprising an even number of identical coils (C1) to (C14) mounted on an electrically insulating coil support member (10). Half the coils (C1) to (C7) are equally spaced around a first notional circle and are connected in series by a first conductive track (12) and the other half of the coils (C) to (C14) are equally spaced around a second notional circle, concentric with the first, and are connected in series by a second conductive track (14). The support member (10) has a recess (16) to allow a conductor under test to be introduced into the centre of the concentric circles. The device further includes means (R1, R2, 20) for deriving the alternating current in the conductor as a function of the voltages induced in the first and second sets of series-connected coils. The coils (C1) to (C14) and the support member are manufactured by printed circuit or thick film technology.

  • Patent number: 5765911
Abstract: A positioning system is provided for positioning a chair-mounted table. The positioning system utilizes four major interconnected components which are capable of rotating around four different axes to position the table in a large variety of positions and orientations. The first axis is parallel to the ground, the second axis is substantially perpendicular to the first axis, the third axis is perpendicular to the second axis, and the fourth axis is substantially 45 degrees from the third axis. The table attached to the positioning system may be moved forward and backward relative to the user, it may be rotated to various angular positions, it may be swung forward to allow the user to sit down and get up, it may be placed on the side of the chair to make a side table, and it may be swung down to the side of the chair to occupy little space and allow the chair to be used with a stand-alone desk or table.

  • Patent number: 5652506
Abstract: An apparatus for measuring an a.c. current flowing in an electric cable comprises a pair of jaws for receiving the cable and which are movable towards one another to engage the opposite sides of the cable. A potentiometer generates a signal ("cable size signal") corresponding to the relative positions of the jaws. A set of coils is provided adjacent the jaws to detect the magnetic field generated by current flowing in the cable. A circuit in the housing is responsive to the cable size signal and the voltage induced in the coil for determining the amplitude of the current flowing in the cable and displaying the same on a display.
