  • Patent number: 8585372
Abstract: A motor/pump assembly for a motor vehicle brake system including a pump and a motor driving the pump, the pump having opposite working diaphragms which are, in each case, mounted between a pump casing and a cover and thereby delimit a space and which can be moved by a crank drive, the space being assigned, in each case, an inlet duct with an inlet valve and an outlet duct with an outlet valve. The outlet ducts are arranged in the covers and in the pump casing such that air displaced out of the spaces is conducted into an inner space surrounding the crank drive of the pump casing and that an air outlet unit be provided, which allows a low-noise blow-out of the air from the inner space as a result of the deflection of the air.

  • Publication number: 20130018355
Abstract: The invention relates to the field of medical fluid management devices, in particular dialysis machines. The object of the invention is to design methods and devices, such that the monitoring and control of medical fluid management devices from a remote site are possible. To do so, the screen content of the output device of a fluid management device is transmitted at least partially to an output device of a remote control unit. The screen content optionally has user interfaces, which can be selected on the remote control device and lead to changes in the control of the transmitting medical fluid management device.

  • Patent number: 8182691
Abstract: An apparatus for extracorporeal blood treatment has a dialysis fluid circuit and a blood circuit which are separated by a dialyzer. Arranged in the dialysis fluid circuit there is a sterile filter for producing a sterile dialysis fluid which flows into the dialyzer. To check the sterile filter, a chemical and/or physical property of the dialysis fluid, for example the conductivity, is changed upstream of the sterile filter, and the change in the property of the dialysis fluid is detected downstream of the sterile filter. From the time shift between the initiation of the conductivity impulse and the detection of the latter, it is possible to tell whether the blood treatment apparatus is fitted with a sterile filter. Moreover, the volume of the sterile filter can be inferred from the length of the time shift.

  • Publication number: 20060168337
Abstract: An apparatus for providing reserved connections between end stations, in a network, such as the Internet, capable of providing prioritized communications, comprises a switch in packet communications with end stations. The switch detects and forwards packets that contain prioritized data for priority processing, and packets that include requests for reserved connections according to a given reservation protocol. Output queues associated with egress ports of the switch correspond to different priorities associated with received priority packets. An additional output queue is associated with reserved connection data packets. In response to a reserved connection request, the switch determines if sufficient bandwidth exists in the switch to establish a reserved path within the network, and if so, allocates the and width for the reserved connection.

  • Publication number: 20060153228
Abstract: An apparatus and method are disclosed for adapting prioritized QoS data packets such as those used by Ethernet devices with IEEE802.1q priorities to parameterized data packets that can be transmitted over the Isochronous Channel of an IEEE1394, HiperLAN2 or similar network or serial bus with Isochronous Services. An adapter device uses the presence of a priority on a Priority based QoS LAN as an indication to set up an Isochronous Channel on the IEEE1394, HiperLAN2 or similar device for the transfer of a potential stream. When the adapter device sees the priority field and it has determined that to get to the destination device, the next segment is across a LAN with Isochronous services (e.g. IEEE 1394 or HiperLAN2), the adapter sets up an Isochronous channel (if it is the first packet of a flow) to the next device in the stream path and then forwards that packet and any future packet that is marked identically (addresses and priorities) down that Isochronous Channel.

  • Patent number: 5388153
Abstract: Telephone line status indication is improved by making measurements of the differential voltage across the Tip-Ring terminals of a telephone set. The telephone set is connected to a telephone line which is shared with other parallel-connected sets. The measurement of differential line voltage is made time the set changes state (i.e., between on-hook and off-hook). The maximum magnitude of one of the last three measurements is stored to represent the state, and is arithmetically averaged with the maximum magnitude of one or the last three stored for the oil-hook state to create a reference voltage. The reference voltage is updated each time the telephone set changes state and is continually compared with the present differential line voltage to determine which one is larger A light-emitting-diode on the telephone set indicates that the telephone line is in use whenever the reference voltage exceeds the measured differential line voltage.

  • Patent number: 4813066
Abstract: An arrangement is disclosed for delivering DC power (battery), voice, and ta signals from a telephone controller to a telephone station over first and second wire-pairs. Minimum interference between these signals is achieved when the first wire-pair is used as the voice signal path and the second wire-pair is used as the data signal path. DC power is fed out of the controller and into the center tap of an audio transformer interconnected with the first wire-pair. Ground current is returned to the controller through a balanced resistive circuit interconnected with the second wire-pair.
