Publication number: 20060272228Abstract: A roofing membrane temperature indicator is provided for preventing the installation of a roofing membrane or roofing membranes at a temperature below a minimum recommended installation temperature for the roofing membrane(s) and/or a minimum recommended installation temperature for the roofing membrane(s) for a particular installation procedure. The membrane temperature indicator is visibly associated with the roofing membrane(s) and includes a thermochromic indicator having a first color at temperatures below a designated temperature and a second color visibly different from the first color at and above the designated temperature. The designated temperature at which the color of the membrane indicator changes is at or above a minimum recommended installation temperature for the roofing membrane(s) and/or a minimum recommended installation temperature for the roofing membrane(s) for a particular installation procedure.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 12, 2005Publication date: December 7, 2006Inventors: Thomas Stock, Raymond Swann, Christopher Griffin, Joel Hazy

Publication number: 20060096213Abstract: A prefabricated multi-layer roofing panel is utilized in a roofing system for low-slope roofs. The prefabricated roofing panel includes: an insulation layer that may have a self-adhering means on its bottom major surface for securing the roofing panel to a roofing substrate; a cover board that overlies and is bonded to the insulation layer, and a waterproofing membrane that overlies and is bonded to the cover board. The waterproofing membrane may have waterproofing membrane overlaps for overlapping and being bonded to the waterproofing membranes of other roofing panels in the formation of a roofing system. Preferably, the insulation layer includes interlocking structure for interlocking the prefabricated multi-layer roofing panels together in the roofing system.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 9, 2004Publication date: May 11, 2006Inventors: Christopher Griffin, Bryan Nesti, Thomas Stock

Publication number: 20050126103Abstract: Self-adhering flashing cap strip and end lap connector cap sheet assemblies include a reinforcing layer encapsulated within self-adhering bitumen. The bottom major surfaces of the flashing cap strips and the connector end lap cap sheets are formed by the self-adhering bitumen and the top major surfaces of the flashing cap strips and the connector end lap cap sheets have lateral edge portions formed by the self-adhering bitumen and a coated central portion that extends between the lateral edge portions. The flashing cap strips are used to interconnect cap sheets at roof surface intersections in the formation of waterproof roofing layers and the connector end lap sheets are used to connect lengths of cap sheets at the job site.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 28, 2004Publication date: June 16, 2005Inventors: David Scheirer, Lawrence Glass, Raymond Swann, Thomas Stock, Richard Ramirez

Publication number: 20040117234Abstract: A method for assessing content management includes identifying business critical information across processes and groups within the organization, identifying transactions between users within the organization which are associated with the business critical information; identifying major value chain processes within the organization for managing the business critical information and their associated transactions; analyzing the role and flow of the business critical information and their associated transactions within the major value chain processes to develop a set of modifications to the major value chain processes for achieving an optimized flow; measuring the flow of the business critical information and their associated transactions to determine a baseline flow; and modifying the major value chain processes in accordance with the set of developed modifications and measuring the flow of the business critical information and their associated transactions until the optimized flow has been achieved.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 19, 2003Publication date: June 17, 2004Applicant: Xerox CorporationInventors: Alex Lindsay-Scott, David Seymour, Matthias Gutknecht, Stephen Bone, Christian Haarbosch, Francois Reynaud, Jim Irving Jones, Thomas Stock, Manfred Wiecken

Patent number: 6097701Abstract: A shaper (1) in a stream of data packets provides for compliance with the agreements about the packet traffic of each virtual connection. It contains means (11) for the intermediate storage and read-out of data packets and for extracting the packet clock, furthermore a control (12) which reads the packets of the different connections into the data stream at the right time. The selection of the data packet takes place on the basis of a rank which is established for each data packet located at the front of the virtual waiting line of the individual connection. With each packet clock the rank is incremented in accordance with the agreed bandwidth for this connection; thus, for each clock a new calculation for the highest two connections for which a data packet advances again to the head of the virtual waiting line, is sufficient. Two processing units (21, 24) are provided.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 1997Date of Patent: August 1, 2000Assignee: AlcatelInventors: Reto Grunenfelder, Thomas Stock

Patent number: 5991274Abstract: A generic cell rate monitoring algorithm (GCRA) which is implemented in an ATM network element must be tested during operation. The method uses a second GCRA of the same kind which is synchronized with the first one, and a conformity test is carried out by comparing the results of both GCRAs. The synchronization is preferred when both GCRAs are in a regeneration state. This is artificially produced during operation of the GCRA to be tested by temporarily changing a parameter of the agreement in such a way, that a contract violation can no longer occur. The time of reaching the regeneration state can be limited by special steps of the method. An apparatus for carrying out the method (30) comprises a conformity decision unit (20), which counts arriving cells and compares counter positions, an implementation of the second GCRA (14) and a circuit (13) for synchronization, together with a return line (15) to an insertion circuit (16) for the cell stream in the line (1).Type: GrantFiled: August 15, 1996Date of Patent: November 23, 1999Assignee: Alcatel STR AGInventors: Reto Grunenfelder, Thomas Stock

Patent number: 5768259Abstract: In digital transmission systems, adapted data units travel at a high throughput rate over large parts as a stream of fixed length data packets, called cells in this instance. The present method permits the measurement of characteristic magnitudes of the cell stream with respect to the respective individual connection to which they belong. It is based on storing from each arriving cell the identification data of the individual connection to which it is allocated, including its relative position in the cell stream. The memory is interrogated during a cell cycle time. A selection is made about which memory spaces within a defined area contain a predetermined identification data belonging to an individual connection. As a function of the selected memory spaces, the determined result, together with the magnitude and the position of the interrogated area, provides a decisive statement of the measured value.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 1995Date of Patent: June 16, 1998Assignee: Alcatel N.V.Inventors: Thomas Stock, Reto Grunenfelder
