  • Patent number: 9156184
Abstract: An alignment utensil includes two guide rails (100A, 100B), an alignment device (10) aligning the guide rails (100A, 100B), and connectors (110A, 110B, 120) fixing the aligned guide rails (100A, 100B) together. The alignment device (10) includes a body (12) having a lateral surface (31) extending across abutting ends of the guide rails (100A, 100B). Each of two clamping pads (70) mounted on the body (12) is moved to press against a first lateral wall (108A) of one of the guide rails (100A, 100B) to abut a second lateral wall (108B) of each guide rail (100A, 100B) against the first lateral surface (31), aligning the first lateral walls (108A) of the guide rails (100A, 100B) and aligning the second lateral walls (108B) of the guide rails (100A, 100B). A method of aligning the guide rails (100A, 100B) uses the alignment device (10) and the connectors (110A, 110B, 120).

  • Patent number: 8584372
Abstract: A measuring gauge includes an indicator having a measuring shaft for engaging with a point. A main bar includes at least one pair of a first passage and a second passage intersecting with the first passage. The first and second passages have the same size and shape of cross sections. The measuring shaft is removably received in the first passage. Threaded bores are defined in the main bar and spaced from the first and second passages. A clamp is removably received in the second passage and retains the measuring shaft. Two legs are selectively and removably engaged with the main bar. Each leg slideably abuts the main bar. A shaper spindle adapter is selectively engaged with the main bar. Two knobs are engaged with two of the threaded bores and selectively fix the legs or the shaper spindle adapter to the main bar.

  • Patent number: 7249549
Abstract: A table saw insert (10) includes an annular table insert portion (22) formed of machinable aluminum and a kerf insert portion (20) received in a stepped passage (44) formed in the table insert portion (22). Holding screws (56) extend through counterbored openings (54) in the kerf insert portion (20) and are threadably received in lips (46) of the table insert portion (22). Set screws (52) are threadably received in the lips (46) on diametrically opposite sides of the holding screws (56) to adjust the upper surface of the kerf insert portion (20) to be planar with the upper surface of the table insert portion (22). Ball plungers (30) are located in plunger openings (36) extending from the outer periphery of the table insert portion (22) to remove side-to-side play of the insert (10) within the table opening (12).

  • Publication number: 20060191595
Abstract: A base (10) for a router includes a sub base (12) having a plurality of dispersed air ducts (24) extending through the lower surface (14) and spaced from a central opening (20) and its periphery (18). First and second plates (30, 50) form a manifold (28) providing pressurized air to the air ducts (24) to create a cushion of air between the lower surface (14) and the work piece during operation of the router. The air ducts (24) are arranged in a plurality of circumferentially spaced, radial lines each including multiple air ducts (24) and in fluid communication with a radial channel (44) formed in the first plate (30) in turn in fluid communication with a groove (64) formed in the second plate (50).
