    Abstract: A tread for a vehicle tire includes at least one circumferentially extending longitudinal groove and transverse grooves emanating from the longitudinal groove for defining blocks in a pattern and sipes arranged in the tread. Each sipe defines a sipe depth extending from a pattern face of the tread toward a pattern base of the tread. At least one of the sipes is located in at least one of the blocks and is configured to have legs defining a V-shape. An intersection of the legs is arranged in a side surface area of the block facing the longitudinal groove. Ends of the legs are oriented away from the side surface area.
