  • Patent number: 9193304
Abstract: A sports equipment vehicle for transporting sporting equipment is disclosed. The rack comprises of a plurality of support sections that allow the equipment carrying member to translate from the top of the vehicle roof to the side of the vehicle. Each support section has a bottom member, top equipment holding member, a first leg member, a second leg member, and a strut connected to the bottom member and the top equipment holding member. The support sections move from a transport position that has the top equipment holding member substantially parallel to the vehicle's roof to a loading position where the top equipment holding member is on a substantially inclined plane with a portion below the vehicle's roof. The first and second leg members act as a radius bar for an arc-like motion of the top equipment holding member and the strut assists with the racks movement.

  • Patent number: 7486473
Abstract: A housing for receiving and securing storage devices of varying dimensions useful in automated library systems is provided. In one example, the housing has an interior space defined by a base and a perimeter wall extending along at least two sides of the base. A first arm is coupled to the perimeter wall, and at least a portion of the first arm is biased to extend into the interior space at a height above the base for allowing insertion of thinner storage devices without pushing on the arm. The first arm is configured to evacuate the interior space in response to a thicker storage device pushing on the first arm. Stand-offs or other length differentiating features may be disposed and sized to provide a common pick point among storage devices of different types insertable in the housing. Further examples include providing additional arms that may be configured similar to the first arm.

  • Publication number: 20060103271
Abstract: Data storage device pass-through devices, systems incorporating data storage device pass-though devices and methods of using data storage device pass-through devices are described. Extensible storage device holders are capable of passing data storage device into and out of a data storage device library storage unit. The described extensible storage device holder comprises a pass-through housing and one or more extensible supports. The extensible storage device holder vertically passes storage device held within the pass-through housing. Thus, the extensible storage device holder may pass storage device from a first (source) library to a second (target) library. The extensible storage device holder does not require a guide or track connecting the first library and the second library.

  • Publication number: 20050016944
Abstract: A storage apparatus for the storage of garden hose attachments. The storage apparatus comprises an elongated trunk member that includes at least one branch member having a portion that extends in non-parallel relation with the trunk member and a portion configured for insertion into an end of a garden hose attachment for supportably storing the garden hose attachment on the at least one branch member. The storage apparatus may also further include one or more attachment apparatus for securing the trunk member to a structure such as the surface of the earth, a fence, a tree, a wall, etc.

  • Patent number: 5067382
Abstract: A method and apparatus for notching a wire so that it can be severed at the notched location by applying an axial force thereto. The apparatus includes a linearly reciprocal mechanism adapted to move forwardly, placing a pair of cutting blades in straddling relationship with the wire and includes an actuating mechanism for laterally reciprocating the cutting blades to form notches in opposite sides of the wire before retracting the cutting blades from the straddling relationship with the wire. The method of the invention includes the steps of moving a pair of cutting blades into straddling relationship with a wire, reciprocally moving the cutting blades into and out of cutting engagement with the wire and subsequently retracting the cutting blades from the straddling relationship with the wire.
