  • Publication number: 20120137948
Abstract: A scupper plug with a one-way valve is provided. The scupper plug permits one-way flow of water through a scupper drain so that water will drain through the scupper drain but not flow back up through the drain and into the passenger area of a water vessel. The scupper plug has a frame that carries a valve structure. A valve member is mounted to the valve structure. The valve member sealingly engages the frame to form a seal therewith.

  • Publication number: 20120138805
Abstract: The invention is directed to methods and arrangements for spatial acquisition of measurement data over the cross section of a bundle of high-energy, high-intensity radiation. The object of finding a novel possibility for radiation measurement within the cross section of a beam bundle of high intensity which acquires highly spatially resolved measurement data without impairment of the measuring accuracy through saturation or degradation of the detectors is met according to the invention in that the entire cross section of the beam bundle is imaged on a shading element, the cross section is separated successively into partial beam bundles having reduced cross section and reduced intensity through movement of at least one opening, and measurement values of the partial beam bundles passing the opening are acquired so as to be associated temporally and spatially with the positions of the opening and are stored.

  • Publication number: 20120139195
Abstract: The present invention concerns a clamping chuck for a cold pilger rolling mill, comprising clamping a sleeve and at least two clamping jaw carriers. The chucks known from the state of the art have a hollow-cylindrical guide sleeve, into which are inserted from the end clamping jaws which are pressed against the tube shell by means of a clamping sleeve which is also to be introduced from the end of the guide sleeve. In comparison with that state of the art the object of the present invention is to provide a clamping chuck for a cold pilger rolling mill, which permits easy changing of the clamping jaw carriers and thus quick and inexpensive adaptation of the cold pilger rolling mill to tubes of differing diameters and wall thicknesses.

  • Publication number: 20120140251
Abstract: According to aspects of the embodiments, there is provided methods of decomposing and modifying a bitmap image before it is rendered by an output device. Segments of a print image are determined by an aptly programmed processor. In a bitmap driver process, dimensions and location of an area on each print image is processed so as to form objects that can be deleted, modified, or replaced. The process allows for the addition of objects such as tracking or security and the processing of objects to interpret the data found, remove it, and possibly replace it with data based on what was read. These modified objects are embedded in the output bitmap image without increasing its size by reusing dimensions and location of selected areas of the print image.
