  • Patent number: 11727437
Abstract: A “scannable logo” image contains encoded identity data for the logo brand owner, encoded visual identification characteristics for the logo brand, an encoded GPS data corresponding to manufacturing location for a manufactured item or assembled item, plus additional embodiment dependent data. The image is scanned with the image scanning function of a mobile communication device and the encoded logo brand owner identity data, the encoded visually identifying characteristics for the logo brand, and the encoded GPS location information are decoded with a decoding function. The GPS location information is captured for the mobile communication device with the GPS function of the mobile communication device and compared to the decoded GPS location information. If the decoded information is a geo-proximal match, an authentication application is launched in the computer function of the mobile communication device.

  • Patent number: 11724006
Abstract: A method of producing a cryogel-based multicompartment 3D scaffold is herein disclosed. The method comprises the steps of: a) providing a first frozen polymeric layer on a refrigerated support kept at subzero temperature; b) providing subsequent polymeric layers to obtain a stack of polymeric layers by possibly modulating the subzero temperature of the refrigerated support; c) optionally incubating the final polymeric structure at subzero temperature; and d) placing the produced cryogel at a temperature above 0° C., the method being characterized in that each subsequent layer i) is deposited on the previous one after freezing of this latter; ii) is deposited on the previous one before the complete polymerization of this latter; and iii) is deposited with a temperature higher than the freezing temperature of the previously deposited layer. Cryogel scaffolds obtained from the method of the invention are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11726975
Abstract: A system for unloading tables of a database is provided. In some aspects, the system performs operations including determining that a number of accesses to a table occurring within a time period has satisfied an access threshold. The operations may further include identifying, in response to the determining, a first timestamp indicating a most recent access to the table. The operations may further include determining whether a difference between a current timestamp and the first timestamp satisfies a first time threshold. The operations may further include comparing, in response to the difference satisfying the first time threshold, a ratio of the difference and a size of the table to a ratio threshold. The operations may further include unloading, in response to satisfying the ratio threshold, the table. The operations may further include adjusting, based on the feedback, the first time threshold and/or the ratio threshold.

  • Patent number: 11727110
Abstract: An apparatus comprises: processing circuitry to perform data processing in one of a plurality of security domains including at least a secure domain and a less secure domain, and memory access checking circuitry to check whether a memory access is allowed depending on security attribute data indicating which domain is associated with a target address. In response to a given change of program flow from processing in the less secure domain to a target instruction having an address associated with the secure domain: a fault is triggered when the target instruction is an instruction other than a gateway instruction indicating a valid entry point to the secure domain. When the target instruction is said gateway instruction, a stack pointer verifying action is triggered to verify whether it is safe to use a selected stack pointer stored in a selected stack pointer register.

  • Patent number: 11725610
Abstract: Various embodiments include a method for operating a fuel evaporation retention system of a vehicle with an internal combustion engine. It includes measuring a pressure change resulting from a temperature change of a gas volume in the fuel tank over a defined period of time while the vehicle is at a standstill after the engine controller has been switched off and comparing an expected pressure profile based on a given temperature profile based at least in part on the tank fill level and after the engine controller has been switched on to an actual measured pressure profile from a previous vehicle standstill phase. If the measured pressure profile lies within a settable tolerance around the expected pressure profile, the method confirms a leak-tight fuel tank. If the measured pressure profile lies outside the settable tolerance, the method identifies a faulty fuel tank and displaying an alert.
