Abstract: A ventilation device is disclosed for a filter mask engageable with the outer face of the cup of the filter mask. The device comprises: an inlet port which removably engages an opening of the cup of the mask; an outlet port in fluid communication with the inlet port; an exhalation valve arranged between the inlet port and the outlet port; an extraction fan arranged between the inlet port and the exhalation valve; a sensor arranged at the inlet port to detect the value of a physical quantity; a command and control unit in signal communication with the sensor and with the extraction fan. The command and control unit activates the extraction fan when the value of the physical quantity detected by the sensor exceeds a predefined threshold value.

Abstract: Distinguishing pattern differences from non-pattern differences. A set of differences is identified. The set comprises a plurality of differences between first and second versions of a document. A pattern is identified. The pattern explains a transformation from a first string in the first version of the document to a second string in the second version of the document. A subset of differences are identified. The subset comprises a plurality of differences, from among the set, which match the pattern. While presenting a user interface that visually highlights differences between the first and second versions of the document, a first visual treatment is applied to a first difference, based on the first difference being included in the subset. A second visual treatment is also applied to a second difference, based on the second difference being excluded from the subset. The second visual treatment is different than the first visual treatment.

Abstract: A lithographic printing plate precursor is disclosed which comprises a support, a photopolymerizable image recording layer and an overcoat which comprises a low-molecular radical inhibitor. After image-wise exposure, the plate is heated whereby the radical inhibitor diffuses from the overcoat to the image recording layer, resulting in an increase of the daylight stability of the exposed and heated precursor. Such plate is especially suitable for on-press processing.

Apparent motion between pairs of images may be used to determine a visual-based time-lapse video frame rate factor. A time-lapse video frame rate for a time-lapse video may be determined based on the position-based time-lapse video frame factor and the visual-based time-lapse video frame rate factor.

Abstract: A system and method for selecting a network interface for a communication device having at least two radio physical interface, to improve communications by the communication device. A configuration of the communication device is determined, where a first radio physical interface is designated as a primary interface and active, and a second radio physical interface as idle. A networking subsystem of the operating system executes a state machine configured to monitor network conditions and associated performance parameters of the at least two radio physical interfaces, to automatically outrank the second radio physical interface over the first radio physical interface as the primary interface.

Abstract: An authentication model dynamically adjusts authentication factors required for access to a remote resource based on changes to a risk score for a user, a device, or some combination of these. For example, the authentication model may conditionally specify the number and type of authentication factors required by a user/device pair, and may dynamically alter authentication requirements based on changes to a current risk assessment for the user/device while the remote resource is in use.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to fuel pump housings and fuel pump systems incorporating the same. The fuel pump housing includes at least one tappet housing portion configured to receive at least one tappet assembly and a main bore portion fluidly coupled with the at least one tappet housing portion such that the main bore receives a camshaft. The main bore includes an uncut portion and at least one relief cut portion proximal to the at least one tappet housing portion. The uncut portion defines a first centerline, and the relief cut portion defines a second centerline offset from the first centerline.

Abstract: A device for controlling a braking system of a vehicle may include a position sensor device which is designed to detect a position of a brake pedal and/or a piston of a main brake cylinder actuated by the brake pedal at multiple times, a pressure sensor device which is designed to detect a pressure in a fluid located in the cylinder at multiple times, and a control device which is designed to shift a braking assistance device into an activated state. The control device may make the shift when a temporal change of the detected position exceeds a predefined position gradient threshold value and/or if the distance between two detected positions exceeds a predefined position threshold value, wherein the position gradient threshold value or the position threshold value is provided according to a change in the detected pressure.

Abstract: A surveillance system for detecting and/or characterizing movement of a monitored infrastructure. An improved compromise between tight zone surveillance and number of false alarms is provided by an improved control of a 3D surveillance device. An input functionality is provided for a user to define a 3D subzone within a 3D environment model. A change functionality allows the user to generate a redefined subzone by dragging one of the corner points of the 3D subzone to a different position within a 3D visualization of the 3D environment model, whereby the shape of the 3D subzone is distorted. The input functionality and the change functionality are used to provide to the 3D surveillance device spatial parameters associated with the redefined subzone and the 3D surveillance device is caused to generate an action in case a movement within the redefined subzone is detected by means of the 3D measurement data.

Abstract: Methods for identifying biosynthetic gene clusters that include genes for producing compounds that interact with specific target proteins are disclosed. Some methods relate to bioinformatics methods for identifying and/or prioritizing biosynthetic gene clusters. Related systems, components, and tools for the identification and expression of such gene clusters are also disclosed.

Abstract: Various implementations described herein are directed to an aircraft having a multi-engine configuration with multiple engines. The aircraft may have a flight control system coupled to the multiple engines with a multi-engine interface. The flight control system may be configured to shutdown at least one engine of the multiple engines during reduced-engine operation by continuously calculating altitude for the reduced-engine operation based on one or more of an aircraft descent rate of the aircraft and an engine restart time of the at least one engine.
