  • Patent number: 4124964
Abstract: A method of building in which building units are made in a factory the building units having lengths and widths arranged in two directions as a horizontal modular grid and so that the center line of any joint between any assembly of two or more building units coincides with any selected grid line of the modular grid. The units are transported to a building site and assembled in a building cluster with the building units removably affixed to each other and to foundations, the completed building cluster having roofing thereover and joints between units having covers thereto.

  • Patent number: 4067159
Abstract: A building cluster is provided with each building consisting of a stressed skin floor unit, stressed skin roof units and wall panels separating the two, at least some of the wall panels being connected to the roof and floor units by shear resisting brackets. A waterproof covering is provided for each building and the buildings have sufficient excess strength so that wall panels may be removed to allow a great degree of choice in the number and disposition of wall panels which maximize user choice in the disposition of doors and openings from one building into another in the cluster.

  • Patent number: 4012882
Abstract: A structural building panel in which there is a core consisting of two sets of strips which cross each other and a pair of skins on either side of the core, with the scale of the cells being between a minimum of 12 inches square with 3/8 inch webs and a maximum of a depth of 12 inches before buckling occurs in the webs so that for a skin thickness of 3/8 inch, a cell width of 21 inches is possible before buckling occurs in the skin, the webs and skins being selected from plywood, veneer board, particle board and fiber reinforced cementitious materials. The webs are preferably bonded one to the other at junctions thereof. The panels are preferably joined to each other by trapezoidal grooves in which a shaped member is fixed.
