  • Publication number: 20240153648
Abstract: A computational evidence platform extracts clinical concepts from medical evidence sources and creates a database of elemental diagnostic factors and elemental investigations links to medical conditions. Input from a person groups factors and investigations makes corrections and adds a ranking Elemental factors and investigations do not include information specific to their associated conditions but include synonyms and a link to a medical ontology. A patient state is determined by extracting patient known diagnostic factors and investigation results from the patient chart. These known factors and results are matched to the database and a ranking of likely conditions are output. Next-best actions per condition are output by determining factors not yet known and investigations not yet performed. Next-best actions across conditions are determined by performing a recursive tree search of the database and assuming that unknown factors are now known to generate a score for each assumption.

  • Patent number: 10647262
Abstract: A rooftop cargo carrier having a rack that can be mounted on the roof of an automotive vehicle and on which a linear rail is disposed, along which linear rail a support structure for an object to be transported can be moved between a transport position, in which the support structure is disposed above the linear rail, and an intermediate position, in which the support structure is disposed on the side as an extension of the linear rail. The configuration comprising the linear rail and the support structure can be pivoted between the intermediate position and a loading position, in which the linear rail and the support structure are disposed at a blunt angle relative to the rack. The rooftop cargo carrier also includes a retainer that allows joint pivoting movement of the linear rail and the support structure relative to the rack only after the intermediate position has been reached.

  • Patent number: 9142900
Abstract: Shields or deflectors are supported on fuse barrels and positioned to protect power linemen and other electrical workers on high voltage distribution lines against injuries resulting from the ejection of sparks and fuse debris that occurs when a fuse melts or operates due to excessively high electrical currents, by securing the deflectors on the fuse barrels in a position immediately below the fuse barrels where the deflectors can effectively direct the dangerous materials away from the workers.

  • Publication number: 20110190142
Abstract: The present invention refers to the renin/prorenin receptor (RER) signal transduction pathway and, in particular, to the role of promyelocytic zinc finger protein (PLZF) and its downstream targets involved in this pathway, e.g. the p85? subunit of phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase (PI3K-p85?). In more detail, the present invention refers to a method for determination of RER activity, e.g. stimulation or inhibition of RER activity, using PLZF activity as a measurement from which RER activity is derived. For the determination of RER activity, use can be made of RER/PLZF protein interaction, PLZF translocation and/or PLZF recruitment. The present invention further refers to a use of said method for identifying RER ligands, e.g. pharmaceutically active agonists or antagonists, as well as for studying undesired side-effects of renin inhibitors.
