  • Patent number: 4799943
Abstract: Gas stream diffusing and distribution apparatus for disposition in the path of a moving gas stream constituted by a series of spaced orifice plates disposed in longitudinally spaced relation in essentially concentric relation with the gas stream.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 17, 1987
Date of Patent: January 24, 1989
Inventors: Giambattista Giusti, Thomas V. Reinauer, Raymond J. DeHont
  • Patent number: 4372821
Abstract: Improved system for controlling means attendant the discharge of coke ovens and for collecting particulate matter associated therewith by venting the exhaust gases through fabric filter means.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 31, 1981
Date of Patent: February 8, 1983
    Assignee: United States Filter Corporation
    Inventor: Thomas V. Reinauer
  • Patent number: 4270935
Abstract: An improved filter assembly for high temperature dust collection operations including a rigid cylindrical open framework retainer member depending from an aperture in a tube sheet separating dirty and clean air plenums. Surrounding the open framework retainer is a flexible wire mesh sleeve for supporting an elongate tubular bag of permeable fabric filter material. A removably insertable rod member disposed between the flexible wire mesh sleeve and the open framework retainer effectively reduces the degree of play between the filter media supporting wire mesh sleeve and effectively increases the circumference of said sleeve to place the outer surface thereof into substantially continuous interfacial contact with the inner surface of said permeable fabric filter media disposed in surrounding relation therewith whereby the filter material is maintained in a substantially taut, smooth and unwrinkled condition during both normal filter flow and during cleaning operations.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 14, 1979
Date of Patent: June 2, 1981
    Assignee: United States Filter Corporation
    Inventor: Thomas V. Reinauer
  • Patent number: 4073632
Abstract: An improved filter bag mounting assembly for fabric type dust collectors compositely constituted of a selectively shaped mounting and filter media supporting member adapted for removable insertion in a complementally sized receiving aperture in a tube sheet, a filter media sheathed retainer assembly terminally connected at one end, in releasably latched gas tight relation to the mounting member and a closure plug disposed in the other terminal end of said media sheathed retainer and secured thereto in releasable gas tight latched relation.
    Type: Grant
