  • Publication number: 20230304234
Abstract: The invention disclosed herein pertains to a device for repaving an existing asphalt surface, specifically a road surface. The device enables continuous uninterrupted excavation and removal of old road paving material. Said device further extracts the excavated material for milling into smaller evenly sized aggregate material that is sorted through by size, retreated under heated conditions with the addition of hot oil, and further homogenized for even size, density, and saturation before being relayed over the extracted surface.

  • Patent number: 8007222
Abstract: A variable counterweight system includes a counterweight and at least one linear transfer device. The counterweight preferably includes a plurality of individual counterweight members. Each linear transfer device preferably includes a moving track and a drive device. The moving track could be a chain or a belt. The drive device is preferably a hydraulic, electric or pneumatic motor. The moving track is preferably retained in a guide track. A control unit receives input from at least one vertical sensor. If an attachment or a boom is in an elevated position, then the control unit powers the at least one drive device to move the counterweight to a rear of the skid steer. If the attachment or boom is in a lowered position, then the control unit powers the at least one drive device to move the counterweight to a front of the skid steer.

  • Patent number: 5152349
Abstract: A primary tillage apparatus includes a plurality of primary tillage tools and a coulter assembly for each primary tillage tool including first and second coulters positioned directly forward of the primary tillage tool, the coulters being mounted to diverge in a v-shape relative to the direction of travel such that the separation between the edges of the coulters increases in a rearward direction, and concave working surfaces of the coulters face outwardly away from one another, the weight of the implement frame and the action of the primary tillage tools causing the coulters to penetrate the soil ahead of the tillage tool and to press into any residue encountered, the cutting edges of the coulters gripping the residue and drawing the residue outwardly in opposite directions, tearing the residue in two and clearing the residue to the sides and out of the path of the primary tillage tool located rearwardly of the coulter assembly.

  • Patent number: 4972661
Abstract: An agricultural mower having a cutter mechanism for cutting a crop, a reel for guiding the crop into the cutter mechanism and lifting the crop after it is cut, and conditioning rollers, the machine including a pair of parallel swing arms on each side of the cutter mechanism for permitting the cutter mechanism when it strikes an obstacle to swing primarily rearwardly initially and then upwardly to a clearing height as the arms swing pendulum-like, side support arms for the reel connected to the cutter mechanism by lift links constructed and arranged to raise the reel upon initial rearward movement of the cutter mechanism so that the reel assembly will also clear the obstruction without damage, and support arms for the conditioning rollers to allow the conditioning rollers to move rearwardly initially and then upwardly upon predetermined rearward movement of the cutter mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4907400
Abstract: The disclosure relates to an agricultural mower having a cutter mechanism for cutting the crop and a reel for guiding the crop into the cutter bar and lifting the crop after it is cut. The machine includes a pair of parallel swing arms on each side of the cutter bar for permitting the cutter mechanism when it strikes an obstacle to swing primarily rearwardly initially and then upwardly to a clearing height as the arms swing pendulum-like. The side support arms for the reel are connected to the cutter bar assembly by lift links constructed and arranged to raise the reel upon initial rearward movement of the cutter mechanism so that the real assembly will also clear the obstruction without damage.

  • Patent number: 4747255
Abstract: An agricultural mower including a parallel linkage suspension mechanism for the cutter assembly, the suspension mechanism including swing arms which in the use position are substantially vertically oriented, enabling the cutter assembly, upon striking an object, to respond by moving quickly rearwardly relative to the forwardly traveling main frame, and then, as the pendulum action continues, to elevate the cutter assembly above the obstruction to a clearing height. In the use position, the cutter bar and guards are directed down and forward defining the lowest and leading part of the cutter assembly.
