  • Publication number: 20240134556
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure set forth techniques for managing memory partitions in a computing system. The techniques include generating a first entry for a first partition table associated with a first instance of a software application, wherein the first entry is associated with a first memory partition that includes a first memory extent; determining that a first data block referenced by the first memory partition is shared with a second instance of the software application; and generating a second entry for a second partition table associated with a second instance of the software application, wherein the second entry is associated with the first memory partition that includes the first memory extent. As a result, the two partition tables have identical mapping allowing switching between partition tables.

  • Patent number: 11423705
Abstract: Toll advertisement messages (TAMs) are broadcast via V2X communication, each of the TAMs indicating geographic locations of lanes of a roadway for which tolls are due and cost information for traversing the lanes of the roadway. A tolling usage message (TUM) is received via the V2X communication, the TUM indicating, to a roadside unit (RSU), information regarding a vehicle entering one of the lanes of the roadway and a unique random account identifier to be used by the RSU to identify the vehicle. A toll receipt message (TRM) is broadcast via the V2X communication, the TRM including the unique random account identifier and indicating, to the vehicle, a final cost charged to the vehicle for access to the one of the lanes of the roadway.

  • Patent number: 8972325
Abstract: Particular embodiments use roles to determine anomalies in a user's behavior. Different roles may be defined for a business. For example, users that have similar job responsibilities are grouped in a role. Behavior information is then monitored for the plurality of users in the role. This may include transactions or other actions taken by the user. Over time, a profile can be generated for the user based on the monitored behavior. This profile learns the user's behavior. Information for the user's behavior may then be compared to other users' profiles in the same role to determine anomalies in the user's behavior over time. For example, when differences in activities occur for a user as compared to other users with the same role, a message may be generated that indicates that there may be an anomaly in the user's behavior. This alert may then be output.

  • Patent number: 8844596
Abstract: The present invention is a valve for use in a central tire inflation system including a casing securable to the rim of a vehicle in communication with the tire that houses a main body connectable to a pressurized fluid supply of the central tire inflation system, and a valve member moveable within the main body to control the flow of air through the valve. The valve can be mounted flush on the exterior surface of the rim or in a recessed position within the rim, and can be connected to a manifold that is able to control the flow of pressurized fluid from the central tire inflation system to each valve and tire connected to the valve. The operation of the manifold and pressurized fluid supply can be controlled utilizing a controller operably connected to the manifold and fluid supply, and to sensing devices that supply information regarding the operational conditions of the vehicle to the controller to assist in adjusting the inflation of the tires as necessary.

  • Publication number: 20140052497
Abstract: An example embodiment includes a method of associating mobile devices with transactional entities. The method includes identifying a first transaction performed by a first transactional entity and identifying a first set of mobile devices in a location of the first transaction at a time of the first transaction. The method further includes identifying a second transaction performed by the first transactional entity and identifying a second set of mobile devices in a location of the second transaction at a time of the second transaction. The first set of mobile devices is compared to the second set of mobile devices. When a single mobile device is common to the first set of mobile devices and the second set of mobile devices, the single mobile device is associated with the first transactional entity.
