  • Patent number: 9920914
Abstract: The present invention relates to a moving head light fixture comprising: a base; a yoke rotatable connected to the base; a head rotatable connected to the yoke. The head comprises at least one light source generating light. An actuator is adapted to rotate the yoke or the head. Magnetic means is attached to the axel of the actuator and generated a magnetic field, which is perpendicular to the actuator axel. A magnetic encoder is fixed in relation to the axel and provides at an axel position signal based the magnetic field is indicative of the angular position of the axel in relation to the magnetic encoder. Indication means provides an indication signal when the yoke or head is positioned at a number of predetermined angular positions in relation. Processing means are adapted to control the moving head light fixture based on the actuator axel position signal and the indication signal.

  • Publication number: 20090230892
Abstract: A light fixture and a method for control of a light fixture is supervised by at least one thermoswitch which protects the light source by disconnecting the power supply to the light source at elevated temperature. To achieve a safety circuit in a light fixture without switching the supply circuit to a light source, the at least one thermoswitch is connected to a low voltage safety loop, which safety loop is connected to a current source that generates a constant current in the safety loop. The safety loop is supervised by a current measuring device. Hereby, it is achieved that the switching, if temperature rises, is achieved by switching contacts that only carry a very limited current. This will increase the life time of the thermoswitch and very small switches can be used.

  • Publication number: 20090231852
Abstract: A lighting fixture having at least one fixed element, to which fixed element controllable moving elements are rotatingly fastened, where one moving element has at least one light source. To automatically receive information concerning the orientation of lighting fixture and to achieve feed-forward regulation of cooling in the lighting unit the lighting fixture has an orientation sensor as the at least one the fixed element, which orientation sensor detects at least 3 orthogonal axes and transmits orientation signals to an internal processor in the lighting fixture, which processor calculates the actual orientation of the fixed elements. As a result, a computer that controls the lightning fixture knows the actual position of each component in the lightning fixture.

  • Publication number: 20090196627
Abstract: A system and a method for internal communication in a lighting system, which lighting system comprises a computer for controlling the lighting system, in which system a number of motors or actuators are controlled by the computer system, which motors or actuators control the operation of light effect components in relation to the lighting system, where the computer further controls a number of functions in the lighting system, which computer is controlled by input means. The computer system can be centrally placed where control information generated in the computer system is distributed to a number of distributed drivers over a data bus, where distributed drivers are in operation physically close to the motors or actuators, where distributed drivers based on data received from the data bus, perform control of actuators or motors.
