  • Patent number: 8876769
Abstract: A medical infusion system with pulse width modulation and a safety circuit and a method thereof are disclosed. Embodiments of the system include a switching device and a pump motor, wherein the pump motor and the switching device are connected in series and constitute a power supply circuit to be connected to a power supply. Embodiments of the system further includes a control signal generator configured to generate a control signal e.g. PWM, and which is connected to input of the safety circuit. Output of the safety circuit is connected to a control input of the switching device such that the pump motor will not operate if there is no control signal applied to the input of the safety circuit.

  • Patent number: 8738957
Abstract: An electronic device (12) for processing information that includes data and clock information and that is wirelessly received from another electronic device (14) may include a first processor (18) that controls only wireless communications with the another electronic device (14) and excluding operations associated only with the electronic device (12), a second processor (16) that controls the operations associated only with the electronic device (12) and excluding the wireless communications with the another device (14), and means (30-30??) for extracting the clock information and the data from the wirelessly received information and providing a corresponding clock signal and the data to the second processor (16) for synchronous receipt of the data by the second processor (16) using the clock signal.

  • Patent number: 8117481
Abstract: An electronic device (12) for processing information wirelessly received from another electronic device (14) or to be wirelessly sent to the another electronic device (14) may include a first processor (20) that controls only wireless communications with the another electronic device (14) and excluding operations associated only with the electronic device (12), a second processor (16) that controls the operations associated only with the electronic device (12) and excluding the wireless communications with the another device (14), and a clock circuit (24, 190) that is separate and independent from the first and second processors (20, 16) and that produces at least one timing signal that regulates synchronous exchange of the information between the first and second processors (20, 16).
