  • Publication number: 20090222991
Abstract: This lounging device is an upper body elevator apparatus having an optional neck rest that should be used for recreational and/or therapeutic purposes. With an elevation of almost 90° the elongated tubular pillows are between a top and bottom sheet and are connected by gussets which gives the device its wedge effect. On either side of the center surface are air diffusers which allow air to diffuse from the pillows (pneumatic cushions) of the center surface to comfort and support the back. The elevating wedge and optional tubular neck support operate together to elevate the head at an angle comfortable for sitting in an upright position for many recreational and therapeutic purposes. An elongated tubular anchor/butt rest is shown connected to bottom sheet to include a lower body support surface. This is a cost effective device that every household can afford. Other embodiments are described and shown.

  • Patent number: 5901911
Abstract: A system for cleaning litter in a poultry house by removing caked litter while leaving uncaked litter. The system comprises a separator that connects and disconnects to the front bucket of a skid-steer loader while the operator remains seated. The separator and bucket couple via a bucket and separator coupling. One coupling comprises two spaced apart parallel arms that insert into corresponding sleeves that form the other coupling. Connecting requires aligned forward loader movement with the separator on the ground while disconnecting requires reverse loader movement. The separator comprises a chassis supporting a blade that forces litter into the separator. A plurality of spikes on a rotating reel forcefully break the entering litter into smaller pieces as an integral ramp feeds the litter onto an upwardly moving conveyor.

  • Patent number: 5265408
Abstract: A method and apparatus for cooling the heat generated by a gas turbine engine mounted in a compartment is provided. The apparatus comprises a novel eductor that incorporates a mixer nozzle to entrain sufficient air flow through the compartment to provide all the necessary cooling. The engine's oil cooler is mounted to the eductor so that the entrained air flow passes through it and cools the engine's oil. The novel eductor also has means for receiving a flow of high velocity air from the engine and injecting this air downstream of the mixer nozzle to enhance the entraining of the cooling flow.
