    Abstract: A torque limiting hex head bolt with a cap overmolded on the hex head. The cap surrounds the hex head with a surrounding lip underlying a hex head surface facing the bolt distal end. First and second cap hex heads are aligned about the bolt axis on its proximal end with a weakened portion between the cap hex heads whereby the first cap hex head breaks from the cap when an excess torque is applied to the first cap hex head. A spacer extends axially in the distal direction from the hex head surface facing the distal end, and has an axial dimension at least equal to the axial dimension of the cap surrounding lip. A flange extends radially outwardly from the torque limiting cap, wherein the flange and the cap weakened portion are between the first and second cap hex heads.

A gasket fits over a pipe and engages one of the support body end section end surfaces. A fitting nut is movable axially over the support body to draw the support body and the gasket together in the axial direction and bias the gasket radially inward against the pipe. A grip ring encircles the pipe at one gasket end and has a surface engaging the fitting nut whereby the fitting nut biases the grip ring radially inwardly toward the pipe. An insert adapter has a hub with a radially extending flange may block the other gasket end to load the gasket between its axial ends.

A first deformable ring (18) is located in the first coupling body (14). A second deformable ring (20) is located in the second coupling body (16). A sleeve (22) is located in the first and second coupling bodies (14,16) extending between the first and second deformable rings (18,20). The coupling (10) has a free condition wherein tubes (12) can be inserted into the coupling (10), and a connecting condition wherein the first and second deformable rings (18,20) are engaged with the sleeve (22) and the first and second coupling bodies (14,16) to be deformed into engagement with any tubes (12) that have been inserted into the coupling (10).
