    Abstract: The invention generally relates to the protection of telecommunications and electrical devices, such as terminal blocks, with gelled oil compositions that employ aluminum complex soaps as gelling agents. The telecommunications devices are typically installed in an enclosure, filled with the gelled oil composition, to protect the device from moisture and corrosion. The gelled oils also include an oil component, a bleed inhibitor of polybutene, and optional amounts of antioxidant and pour point depressant.
