    Abstract: A pump apparatus has a rotor shaft, a pump impeller connected to the rotor shaft, at least one axial bearing which rotatably supports the rotor shaft at a side facing the pump impeller, a magnetic pump stator, a magnetic pump rotor which is connected to the rotor shaft, a containment can which extends between the stator and the rotor, and at least one central support element which is mounted in the region of the pump impeller. The pump apparatus has an elastomer disk which is arranged between the support element and the axial bearing. The stator and the rotor are arranged with an axial offset with respect to each other. The stator and the rotor are provided as a result of the axial offset to produce an axial force F in the direction of the elastomer disk.

RFID tags on aircraft that are enrolled in the system's subscription service enable aircraft to be recognized by a module operating the fuel dispensing mechanism. Based on a comparison performed by the module, authorization to begin fueling is either permitted or declined.

    Abstract: A modular thermal apparatus for performing transformation between thermal and acoustic energy is disclosed and includes a housing, first and second fluid ducts extending therethrough, and a regenerator having axially extending regenerator fluid passages. A first heat exchanger conducts thermal energy in the axial direction and includes transversely oriented fluid passages extending through a thermally conductive body and changing direction within the body to terminate axially aligned with the regenerator fluid passages. The apparatus also includes a second heat exchanger having fluid passages extending through a thermally conductive body and terminating in fluid communication with the regenerator fluid passages. Thermal energy is transferred between the heat exchangers and an external thermal energy source or sink. The housing withstands a pressure associated with a pressurized working gas and the fluid ducts provide for connection of the apparatus as a module within an acoustic power loop.

The clip member allows the housing to be attached to, and detached from, an edge of a non-metallic and/or non-magnetic item when the removable member is magnetically coupled to the housing, and there is no item between the first magneto coupler and removable member.
