  • Publication number: 20240033513
Abstract: An apparatus comprising: at least one processor; and at least one memory including computer program code, the at least one memory and computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to: receive a sensor output from a mechanomyography sensor configured to monitor muscle activity of a muscle in a human or animal body; and control, in response to the received sensor output, an electrical stimulus applied by a muscle stimulator to the muscle to modify said muscle activity, wherein the electrical stimulus is applied with an amplitude below the motor threshold of the muscle simultaneously during monitoring of the muscle activity by the mechanomyography sensor.

  • Publication number: 20230323489
Abstract: Methods, systems, and kits described herein are for detecting and sequencing nucleic acids (e.g., RNA) in a wide range of samples such as samples with low concentrations of nucleic acid, samples with degraded nucleic acid, samples that would not otherwise be amenable to conventional sequencing or RNA detection methods, poor quality samples, high quality samples in which rare mutations are sought, formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded samples, blood samples, etc. The methods of the present invention may use paired, large panels of primers to amplify many short fragments that overlap between but not within each panel. Each panel's amplicon set may fill the gaps between those of the opposing panel, thereby providing complete gene or genomic coverage. A preliminary, multiplex amplification step amplifies target nucleic acid for all downstream reactions such as Sanger sequencing, cloning, and NGS.

  • Publication number: 20210269122
Abstract: The present invention comprises a device for acting on water flow as a watercraft moves through the water. The device is generally comprised of a primary plate having two downward angled tabs and a handle. Device is installed on the stern of watercraft, preferably engaged to a prior art ladder. The angular tabs and primary plate delay a portion of the wake from reaching the surface of the water, thereby allowing time for the converging water flow from either side of the watercraft to merge more seamlessly with the wake. This convergence creates a more laminar surf wave.

  • Patent number: 5265422
Abstract: A pilot-operated pressure relief valve is provided for a hydrostatic transmission. The override valve is in the closed circuit loop, which includes a pair of multi-function valves and a displacement control valve. The pressure override valve includes a spool slideably mounted within a body so as to be responsive to a pressure differential created by pilot flow through the override valve. The spool is biased to a normal position which provides fluid communication between a pressure charge source and the displacement control valve. As the pressure differential in the override valve increases, the spool shifts so as to close such communication from the charge source to the control valve, thereby defeating the pressure signal from the control valve to the servos of the hydrostatic transmission pump.
